He doesn’t but he’s sure to be doing everything to get the move - must be a dream move. Obviously he signed the long-term contract here and people will say he shouldn’t have/ serves him right but in reality, this could be his only opportunity to get this move with their current injuries in the position and needing a player who’s not cup tied in the Champions League. It’s a no brainer really but we hold all the cards on this one so PSG will have to pay an inflated price and Gueye will have to forfeit his loyalty bonus to make it happen.

I think he will go when PSG hit the magic number. Every player has his price - Brands (I think) alluded to this when talking about how to ‘grow’ here.

With no Schneiderlin or Gueye in the squad tonight maybe both are off. I know Schneiderlin has missed many squads but with Gueye out, you’d expect he’d at least make the bench. I’m happy for both to go in the hope/expectancy that Brands has got something lined up. Of course, Gueye could just be out as his head’s not right and Schneiderlin as he’s as mobile as a lamppost but it’s good to speculate!

They’re a different team without Mooy who’s been missing for the past 7 weeks (at the Asian Cup), coinciding with their dismal form... oh - he’s back for this one!

Would be an excellent replacement for Coleman but we’d then need to replace Gueye. I’d actually be happy with this - we’ve got as good as nothing to play for now so I wouldn’t even mind if Gueye wasn’t replaced until the summer because Meunier is top class.

He signed in 2016 so it would have been a 4 or 5 year deal - 2020 or 21 then. Hopefully the rumours that Palace will have him back are true and hopefully during this window!

Walcott is the only one who’s played a significant part this season. From the list, only Walcott needs replacing but even then, we’ve got Onekyru (if he can get a permit - I won’t be too worried about spelling his name until then) and Vlasic (who I’d like to see given another chance). We obviously need better players in many positions but won’t miss any on the list and I agree about Tosun.

Here’s a massive part of the problem...

A major problem, in my opinion, is the lack of partnerships we have. There doesn’t seem to be any pairs/ groups that have a natural cohesion in their play. Baines/Pienaar, Lescott/Jagielka, Lukaku/Barkley, Cahill/Arteta, Parkinson/Ebrell/Horne. I think we have some quality individuals but maybe they just don’t necessarily compliment each other. Digne/Bernard should compliment each other attribute wise as should Gueye/Gomes/Gylfi but for whatever reason so many of our players seem strangers. Maybe it’s the manager/tactics, maybe there’s just one or two missing pieces e.g a striker who can play with his back to goal - whatever it is, I don’t know but something’s not right. On another note - I remember Allardyce alluding to the fact that our players were mentally weak - there was talk of a psychologist even. This is probably the one thing he got spot on - it’s a worry to me.

Do you understand the Wolves link with Mendes? Neves wasn’t available to us and many other teams. Mendes ‘placed’ him at Wolves hence the reason why he, and others, were playing Championship football rather than Champions League. He’s working on a similar model with Forest but it’s early days.

Everyone knows about him already - he’d already been playing at the top in the Chmpions League with Porto before Wolves signed him. He’ll be at Man C, Liverpool or maybe even Real Madrid but until then Mendes will keep him under his man at Wolves.

Wages is a massive issue. £250k is going on Sandro and Schneiderlin every week. In reality, we’re probably wasting the best part of £1m every week on players who simply don’t contribute. Fees for players isn’t the issue, it’s the wages we need to sort out.

He’s always looked good whenever I’ve seen him. Would prefer Wan Bassaka but wouldn’t be disappointed if Cedric ends up here.

I don’t believe for one minute that he’d cost £14m - probably double that. Given we’d be getting rid of Tosun and Niasse to sign him - then I’d be delighted. He’s by no means the finished product but he’s young and fits the bill much better than what we’ve got currently. Think he’s much further on than Calvert-Lewin but of the 3 out and out strikers DCL is the one with a future here.

FA Cup should be our priority so we shouldn’t be messing about with the team too much. 7th is our summit on the back of recent results - we’re not going down so we’re looking at 7th-12th again - that’s the reality. We need to be going out to win every FA Cup game - whoever the opponent.
