  1. I don’t even want the new stadium if it means many more years of this circus - sell up and fuck off Moshiri - thanks for the dreams but it’s been shite!!!
  2. This means Kia J- whatever his name is, has far, far too much say at this club. Frightening!
  3. Roy Hodgson until the end of the season makes more sense than Vitor Pereira and we’d simply never go for Roy. This Pereira chap is being pimped to us - no, Moshiri - by the same agent who’s going to put us out of business. This is horrible!
  4. Just the annual reminder - Charles Stevenson is a fake account. There have been links to Kim Min Jae but Stevenson has no credibility.
  5. …and we’ll still give him and all his backroom staff a 5 year contract each.
  6. Many outlets saying Perriera is almost done - only a contract to sign. If true, this fella needs to make an instant impact as I’m shitting myself about how badly this could end up. Going down is not an option with our £££ already and the commitment to the stadium. Maybe I’m overreacting but this seems really bad!
  7. It’s very worrying - he seems corrupt as anything. Wasn’t he the man who pushed Iwobi onto Moshiri? That alone is enough to bring a relationship to an end… unless of course he can palm Iwobi off elsewhere…
  8. If it is Rooney or Lampard, I’m fine with this - I’d much prefer Rooney due to his connection with the club but as StevO has alluded to with Dunc, maybe it could work both ways. I feel either appointment would bring a new direction and both would focus on youth and look to play decent football with ‘modern’ ideas. For me, it’s as much as who they can bring with them in terms of coaches. I’ve seen Carsley mentioned with Rooney - he’s a really highly rated coach but I’d hope Lampard could poach this chap who he brought to Chelsea: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Barry_(footballer) An ex-blue youth who is widely thought of as one of the best. Rooney and Lampard has done it all and will have that aura about them for younger lads to aspire to and that will be massive but this set of players need coaching - how many different ideas in the past 6 years or whatever? Gbamin has had more managers than starts since he’s been here!!! Time to get it right Everton - Rooney or Lampard will be the face of it but we need to get it right behind the scenes - especially on the training ground.
  9. The Winslow and The Brick supposedly.
  10. Well I didn’t get one at The Spellow! I think it was just The Winslow. Great gesture
  11. I like Mina as captain - there’s a proper leader there. I don’t mind Holgate alongside him as at least he’s got a bit of fight/aggression. What I don’t like is once again playing 2 in the middle rather than 3. Until Gordon came on, our wingers didn’t cross so what was the point of a 4-4-2?! Gray will always look to cut in from the left so don’t play him there in a 4-4-2. Play a 4-3-3 and he can cut in or get him running at Digne like Gordon did when he came on. I think Allan, Doucoure and Gomes from the start could have helped us dominate that game against an average Villa side.
  12. “Fans are the lifeblood of the Club and only by working together can we deliver the success we all long for. With that in mind, I am fully supportive of the work the Board and our CEO are doing in conjunction with key fan groups to put in place a Fan Advisory Board with representation at Board level. The Club is moving forward with its discussions with fan groups to ensure the voice of ALL Evertonians can be heard through a robust structure for the future. We will also introduce a series of regular events that will be accessible to all fans, enabling open and clear dialogue with the Club’s senior leaders.” This surely is a step in the right direction then - certainly the idea - what it looks like in reality, we’ll see.
  13. “It is vital we appoint a manager who fits the structure we are putting in place and so, whilst we are keen to make an appointment as quickly as possible, we will work together to ensure it is the right candidate to deliver the success we all crave.” Hopefully, we/he stands by this.
  14. A step in the right direction re. communication… More of this in the future please. Transparency is important, especially when things seem so bad.
  15. I’m fully onboard with Rooney - for many of the reasons in this.
  16. This game/ this weekend could be pivotal. Villa, Leeds and Brentford all have very winnable games and could leave us a little adrift in a bottom 5. It sounds obvious but we are desperate for a win and it needs to start with 3 points tomorrow.
  17. Interestingly, David Weir has been promoted to work alongside (maybe replace) Ashworth at Brighton - announced today.
