  1. Kane Smith, their right wingback, is an Evertonian. What a dream for all of them but him especially! Fair play to them!
  2. Kenny did come on as left back but I get your point
  3. I’d probably bring de Beek in ahead of Dele and go with a 3. Lampard often used a diamond in his time at Derby so there’s potential for Allan, Gomes, de Beek and Dele too.
  4. Should be applauded if anything - if I was in another continent, I’d probably be there to get away from Everton!
  5. Was it under Silva when Holgate was being spoken about as a Man C target? It was certainly under Silva when we thought we had a ‘world class’ player in Gomes… maybe a possession based style manager will make some of the lads who we’ve (I include me in this) written off fulfil their potential. Faultless today.
  6. As frustrating as it is at times with Gray, I don’t mind it as he takes those risks and, when they come off, it’s worth the frustrations. It’s great having him and Gordon - direct, brave, positive players we’ve been crying out for - add Dom, Richarlison, Dele and VdB - some real attacking quality there. Decent back-up too when you add Townsend, El Ghazi and even Iwobi (maybe in a more positive team… maybe… come on!!!)
  7. Gomes - it’s as if he’s been shackled by the last 2 defensive coaches and actually looks at his best when playing in a ‘football playing’ side. Seems obvious now! Allan was class too.
  8. You don’t rate him - fair enough but this is a player who has played consistently in a PSG team full of star quality and he plays in the big games. To think he doesn’t walk into our team is… well… insanity! I don’t think there’s anything in this anyway… unless of course they need to counter balance a move for Dembele.
  9. There seems to be enough evidence to say freely; what a fucking idiot - ruined your life there Mason but worse still, ruined the victim’s life. In a way, she’s done the right thing by going public as actually it doesn’t seem like there’s any support whatsoever for Greenwod - I just hope she doesn’t get hounded for doing something so so brave and I hope he gets made an example of.
  10. He really didn’t put us in this mess… he polished a turd for a few months but there are many who did much more long-term damage.
  11. Gueye walks into this team and would be far superior to anyone we could could realistically get on-loan from Real.
  12. The Sunderland job has just become available
  13. I’ve just seen someone allude to Ancelotti doing Lampard a favour and sending a loan or 2 our way - could just be something that sounds romantic enough to be true but actually…
  14. I’ve just read Paul Clement as assistant; would be an excellent appointment
  15. There wasn’t in the Palace deal - doubt we will either.
  16. I think he’ll come here purely based on he won’t have to move house! I’ll take that!
  17. You do know that Lampard is probably all agreed and has discussed targets with the board so both can make progress simultaneously?! Chill out - the official announcement will come when the key components of his backroom staff are sorted and maybe a few (including Dunc) are relieved of their duties. Frankie says relax!
  18. That’s why I think we may do a ‘buy-back’ type deal if Lampard even decides to go back to Chelsea for targets.
  19. Picked up a yellow last night which rules him out of their game on Tuesday - just need to ensure he doesn’t pull something in the departures lounge now and he may actually return from an international break fit to play for us!!!
  20. I think Loftus-Cheek or even Gilmour (may end his loan at Norwich) will be first choice. It wouldn’t surprise me if we do a similar deal to what Southampton have done for Livmarento and I think Brighton did with Lamptey too - small fee to make the permanent deal but Chelsea get a set buy back. Tino Anjorin may be a name to look out for - I can see us being linked with the Lampard Chelsea connection.
  21. My dad saw an interview with or about Barry a while ago and I’ve been looking out for his name - will be a top class appointment if we can get him here. Talk of Holland and Edwards (youth coach) too - say it quietly but we may actually be putting together a coherent set-up. I’m certainly on-board with Lampard’s appointment especially if he brings a good team. All that would be missing would be Ashworth in the summer… Final point… Cahill doesn’t come under jobs for the lads for me - he’s gone and done loads in world football since retiring - he seems a smart ‘savvy’ bloke as it is but really think he’ll be an asset.
