Maybe play Coleman at home in a back 4 but away from home it’s got to be Patterson and Mykolenko as wing backs in a back 5 (with another bank of 4 in front as without Mina, we’re fucked!)

Should have been Gordon easily but for his final ball/decision - love the lad but hope he learns from tonight because he was really frustrating and actually undid the class things he did do. I went with Kenny - fair play to him, he may still have a future here (not just based on tonight!!!)

Without Mina, our defence is ‘vulnerable’ (too kind?) - we need Allan and Doucoure in the team to protect them. Add Donny and actually that’s a very strong 3. There’s also the option to play a diamond with Dele in there too. Basically, if fit, Doucoure plays. Beyond this season - who knows if he fits Lampard’s style? But for the remainder of this season he’s possibly our most important player. We’ll pick up a few wins at home but just as importantly, we need to stop losing every away game - even a couple of points here and there - Allan and Doucoure will be key to this.

Pickford - no protection all game - a joke of a performance overall which would have been far more than 2 had it not been for Pickford having a very good game.

Out of contract in the summer but supposedly all parties want a new deal and another loan next season - hopefully with Tranmere if they go up or even a Championship move - Derby if they stay up would be perfect (unless they’re a rival of course ).

Depends on what tactics/system Frank thinks we need to win the game when Gray’s next fit.

He obviously learned a lot from Phil Jones in his time at Man U…

I agree - the lack of striker on show for Leeds yesterday made it a lot easier but, credit where it’s due, neither Holgate nor Keane put a foot wrong and when called upon, more often than not, went for the safe/ low-risk option. We were desperate for that clean sheet and it was well deserved.

Robertjoe Carlos for me - not the best player on the pitch but he did so well out of position when most (including me) wouldn’t even have him as a back-up right back - fair play to him. Iwobi - fair play too. A lot of heart in that performance. Holgate/Keane - back to basics - nothing risky - both faultless. Donny van der Beek - absolute class act - what an incredible player. Perfect compliment to a classy Allan today too. Richarlison - attitude is spot on and was always a threat - likewise Gordon.

We need to survive this season and sort this out in the summer as number 1 priority. If everyone was fit I’d personally go with Mina and Godfrey as a pair and think most would too. Shockingly, they’ve only actually played as a 2 in the league once (Leeds away last season I think), which I find ridiculous! I think Mina is our strongest CB by a mile but we can’t rely on him due to his fitness. For this reason, I think we need to move him on in the summer. Worryingly though, I’d say we need to move Keane and Holgate on too so that leaves us with Godfrey and Branthwaite - we need at least 2 new centre backs. I really am worried with Keane, Holgate and Branthwaite as our options for the next few games - each one needs Mina. Personally, I’d go with a 3 man midfield in front of a back 4 and hope we can protect them as much as possible. Add the fact that Mykolenko could be out vs Leeds too… someone needs to step up!!!
