Are you aware of the Danish links Brentford have throughout the club? Maybe we wanted him - maybe many others did - maybe he chose Brentford to work, play, train, live amongst people already close to him.

It’s my understanding (may be wrong) that you have 25 spaces to register but you can still register free agents beyond the January deadline… I know he’s not a free agent but similar idea - if we’ve not got 25 registered. Plus he’s u21 so wouldn’t actually need registering potentially.

Another very good performance in his preferred central role - fair play to him - it’s not been easy for him but is pretty much undroppable at the moment.

I love Yerald! He’s such a big character and someone we’ve desperately missed. Sadly, I think we’re watching his last few games for us between now and the summer - he will be missed but sadly he’s a luxury we can’t afford with how much he’s paid and how little he plays.

Maybe Gomes was so good because he had Gueye - the extremely well paid recruitment team probably should have seen this and recruited accordingly when the opportunity was there. In reality, we sold Gueye and bought Gomes, Gbamin and Delph in the same window - I actually think that window is on par with the Gylfi, Keane, Sandro splurge for getting us in this mess. If we’d got the 3 midfield signings right (plus Iwobi and Kean) then maybe we’d have fixed some of the Koeman damage.
