Lewis O’Brien - £10m release clause now Huddersfield haven’t gone up - there won’t be many better deals to be had in this window.
-
-
Rumour has it that we’ve made an offer for Greaves at Hull (along with Lewis-Potter) who is a left footed centre-back.
-
Spot on - the right players in need to be young and hungry. If not young and no resale then the deal needs to make business sense e.g Tarkowski on a free as long as the wage demands stay within the structure - if this allows us to then sell Keane, it’s very good business.
-
Sell Gray - sign Sarr from Watford off the back of a poor season - I think he’s class and could be the right time to swoop.

Oh go on then… he’ll cost you though!!! https://www.toffeeweb.com/season/21-22/rumour-mill/42211.html -
Didn’t Purslow (Villa Chief exec or something) help create/write the rules of FFP? Think he’ll be pretty clued up on what they can/can’t do.
-
He’s been great but anything around £25m and we’d be mad to turn it down.
-
Left footed winger is a must - I’d have him in a heart beat but think there’s better for what we’d have to pay (unless there’s a release clause?) Good player though.

Reported £175k per week to jump ahead of Champions League offers. There’s a few Villa signings of late that have made me think they’ll fall into our trap - Digne, Coutinho, Ings - around £20m each on big wages and no resale. Way over the odds on Kamara’s wages and talk of £120k a week on Tarkowski - don’t get me wrong - I’d have Tarkowski here but not as a top earner. It may not seem much (in footballing terms) but £90k for Tarkowski, I’m happy with - £120k and you’ve got to think what other players are going to look at that and want parity. -

We need to stop being so dismissive of players the minute they hit a tough patch - they are only human and have the same worries and woes as all of us. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd6X9odMcqV/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

This needs sorting… Hopefully we get Anthony Barry too - Chelsea’s set piece specialist coach who happens to be an Evertonian with a young family wanting to move back up north
-
Fans put on a firework display for Chelsea and Brentford so 2… just trying to make them feel at home - I bet there’s always something going on in London. Ungrateful fuckers!

It’s happening…

Hence - ‘when he plays’ - because he doesn’t play enough for what we pay him, I’d sell him. That was the point all along.
-
When he plays, he’s our best CB by a mile - maybe our most important player hence why we’ve been so poor this season.
-
I’d sell a lot of players - some controversial: Pickford - peak price this summer in my opinion Mina - best cb but wages far too high for what he brings Holgate or Keane (even both) - done well recently but we need better Allan - need to get something back for him this summer Gbamin - may be a good time to sell on the back of regular playing time at CSKA Doucoure - as Allan but not as desperately Gomes - not good enough Simms - sell on the back of that loan spell Richarlison - new contract with big release clause or sell DCL - for the right price but only £50m plus Rondon - no reason needed That makes for a busy summer!!! I think Tarkowski is a no brainer when you consider Lampard wanted him at Chelsea - I think we actually need 2 centre backs. I love the idea of Gallagher on-loan and would ask about Broja too (maybe Colwill, Gilmour or Ampadu) on a low purchase/buy-back deal. Nketia could be an interesting option in we could get him on a free. Lewis O’Brien and Brennan Johnson are players I like from the Championship - NDiaye at Sheff Utd looks a player too. My wildcard is Zinchenko though - think he’d flourish here in a more advanced position and offer decent versatility too. Left-footed is high on the priority list for me.

Put him and O’Brien from Huddersfield together and we’ve got our best partnership since McCarthy and Barry. -
Most unlikeable manager of the season: 21-22
c1982 replied to Cornish Steve's topic in General Everton Discussion
This is massive - there’s been so many: Fred West at Norwich Harold Shipman at United Adolf Hitler at City Klopp at the Shite … but we were most unfortunate to have the most unlikeable of all in Benitez. So Benitez but Klopp is a close 2nd. -
Seen a few clips where Lampard calls Seamus the ‘best person he’s ever met’. Seamus is clearly a great bloke and is obviously a huge part of our club. I personally think he stays and I would back that decision - I think he’s played far far more than Lampard would have hoped and he looks knackered as a result but I don’t think he’s finished here.

Couple of games early but I’m having this!!!

One positive - our hate for Tapas Tits and the shitty state he left us in has united us all and Frank looks to be a very astute appointment on the back of this. Onwards - may ‘Agent Rafa’ (makes me sick when they say that) be a tiny little shitty stain in our history - 3 points today and we can almost forget it ever happened!
