  1. I’d prefer a move abroad but him moving to Chelsea could come with other benefits to us beyond the obvious huge fee. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1622754/Richarlison-Everton-Chelsea-Arsenal-wishlist-premier-league-transfer-news
  2. It’s a start… much more needed but a move in the right direction.
  3. The reporter, Matt Law, who’s well connected to Lampard from his Chelsea days. Also mentions Gilmour and more positively Gallagher. Sadly Gallagher may be out of reach for now if Tuchel is giving him a chance.
  4. Couldn’t Ellis Simms just adopt his mother’s maiden name and see if it has the same results?!
  5. Winks on-loan it seems. He’ll have a job to change many opinions as I expect he’ll be written off before he kicks a ball. I’ve not actually seen much of him recently - mainly because he’s been out of favour but the saving grace is that Pochetino had him starting most games in a team that got to a Champions League Final - maybe Lampard sees something Pochetino did?
  6. It won’t likely happen but I’d have liked to have seen Kean in a Lampard team, especially if Richarlison and DCL are leaving.
  7. Exactly what we need - he needs to stay and rediscover last season’s form or sell for over the odds on the back of a poor season.
  8. Last thing I’ll say on this; we’ve got Godfrey and Branthwaite who are both top young prospects. We’ve got Holgate who has been decent under Lampard and is still a good age but can’t play with either of the above - these are probably the 3 we should be keeping so we need a senior centre back to replace Mina and hopefully Keane too so Tarkowski, given our financial situation and need for reinvestment elsewhere, is a no brainer in my opinion.
  9. Stan Mills (Danny Mills’ son) too - often plays on the wing but talk that he’ll end up as an attacking right back. Supposedly a very good prospect.
  10. Jonny Evans got a very similar response on here when we were linked and Leicester signed him… he would have still walked into our team last season. I get the same feeling about this deal. It’s not a big exciting name on the back of shirt kind of deal - it’s a necessity. We lack leaders. We’re shocking in defence. We can’t defend from set-pieces. Sign Tarkowski - sell Mina (sadly but necessity again) and another - develop what we’ve got with Tarkowski as the main-stay. There is probably better and much better value but he fits the bill for exactly what we need now.
  11. Dele, Lingard and Iwobi are 3 players that could work as a very creative trio behind the main striker - the understanding/flair/interchange would be incredible. It wouldn’t be a starting 3 very often but for those games away to the Watford’s, Burnley’s and Norwich’s (yes I know all 3 went down) - shite teams who we took 1 point off on the road - who historically, we just don’t break down as we don’t have that creativity to get in the right spaces do something different. Richarlison, Gray and Gordon are all very direct and that’s great but they don’t have the guile of the aforementioned players. Lingard would offer a very different option - the kind of player we need in my opinion.
  12. If the emphasis is on youth and we’re able to shift a few of the ‘older’ players like Gomes, Mina, Keane, Rondon, Townsend - then I wouldn’t be totally against this. Having Lingard and Tarkowski on ‘frees’ can help younger players - even in the same position settle in and develop. I’m sure we had the same idea when we signed Delph to ‘help’ Gbamin - that didn’t work but the idea was there!!!
  13. Makes sense when summed up like this:
  14. Quote from Romano, "As things stand, Richarlison has serious possibilities to leave the club: the Brazilian is open to a new solution in the event of offers while having maximum respect for Everton, he would like to stay in the Premier League." I can see him at Chelsea this summer - it may help us get a few back off them too.
  15. My worry is that he’s not much of a team player - he’s more of a solo man.
  16. Best player on the pitch by a mile tonight playing as left central mid in a 433.
  17. He’s got the engine, touch and vision - you’ve got to if you’re going to play as many as he has in this City team. I see him as a central midfielder in a 343 - covering left back space when attacking.
  18. I don’t think he’ll be on anywhere near that.
  19. I think that pretty much summed Southampton up last season. I like what I’ve seen from him.
  20. At the right price - I’d have him in a heartbeat. He’s not a left-back - I think we’d accommodate him in a more central position who’d cover left back areas within a game as Mykolenko bombs forward. I like his versatility and his quality/confidence on the ball - would suit what I perceive Lampard’s Everton will look like next season.
  21. Tarkowski was more of a replacement to Keane - Mee was the main stay.
