  1. He's that bad he made a career out of it at the highest level! I've actually sang carols to Carlton, he answered the door in only red boxing shorts, gave us £5 for our troubles - I was only 8 or something at the time so was well chuffed!!!
  2. World class is the best players in the world who would get into any team in the world. Would van Persie get a game at the best club in the world Barcelona? I'd say yes most probably. If we're judging prem players as good/very good, how can you judge say Crawley Town players - hardly shite are they? At the end of the day even league 2 players are earning £1k a week, they're good players - so what must premiership players be? If you're Pele then fair do's RVP may not be world class but if not then we can only dream of being as good as even Carlton Palmer!!!
  3. Good, as I will to van Persie isn't world class. Anyway I'll leave you to get back to your distinctly average mrs as I'm sure you'll have to go to your shite job, in your crap car tomorrow (based on your rating system!!! ) Goodnight and god bless!
  4. Zamora, Heskey, Davies, Zola, Bergkamp... all 1 in 4/5 premiership goalscorers (none prolific) - 2 considered world class, the others shite... they all create more than they score but because the 2 world class ones do it with their feet they are seen as forwards rather than strikers... the others who are less fashionable target men are just seen as shite strikers. Clearly I would prefer a Zola or berkamp any day but these are luxury players who you must accomodate. ...and if we're only considering the best 2 players in the world as world class with the next level being very good then there was actually no point entertaining this subject! Zamora will be a very good signing for QPR (proven in the prem), I hope Jelavic will be an even better signing for us (still unproven at this level),
  5. ...but to be fair Heskey was very good for many years. In Sven's time he was a very important part of our national team. A lot of people only recognise players for the headlines - players like Heskey, Zamora, Davies often go under the radar but actually what they do for their team in a team sport is as important as the headline makers. Would we have got top 4 had it not been for Lee Carsley? Lee Carsley was a very good defensive midfielder. Maybe I shouldn't say striker but Heskey, Davies and Zamora have been very good premiership target men - they just happen to be labelled as strikers.
  6. I would say Ba is amongst the best finishers in the premiership, possibly a world class finisher. Zamora is a very dangerous forward player, no he doesn't score as many as others but he is a very good player - you would be hard pressed to find many better at doing what he does in the prem e.g holding the ball up/bringing others into play. I'd of had him here at £5m if we hadn't got Jelavic on board. £5m is hardly stretching the budget for QPR and they must be considered a dangerous team with Zamora/Cisse. A good example of a very good prem player is Kevin Davies - you don't play at the highest level for that lOng unless you have something about you.
  7. Fuck me van Persie isn't world class!!! He wouldn't get into any team in the world?!!! If you're basing it on that then Zamora is shite!!! I'd hate to be your mrs! Kardasian/Scherzinger - average!!!
  8. Name 5 very good premier league strikers so I know what we're judging it on here? Not many can hold a ball up better than Zamora, strength, a bit of pace, good in the air, can strike a ball - very good player.
  9. But Zamora is a very good Premiership striker. We paid £5m for an older Distin. Money well spent on both counts in my opinion.
  10. We can get him on a free in the summer if he really wants to come - pre-contract available now. Croatian team-mate of Jelly...
  11. Top lad - noddy/duff should be proud!
  12. For the forward performance we've been crying out for all season... Denis. Could have gone for Hibbo or Heit or Drenthe (much better attitude) but have decided to eat humble pie a vote for the no longer Argentinian Brett Angell - sorry Denis, you'll always be the Argentian Paul Rideout to me from now on!!!
  13. Duffy seems a top young prospect and will have a bright future at our club. Moyes is more qualified than any of us to manage players and pick teams and we've got to tip our hats that he got it spot on tonight. Experience was a huge factor tonight - Duffy would have been targeted. Let's remember Shane has made just 3 Premier League appearances - Hibbert close to 300. Shane's time will come but for now, well done Tony, well done Moyes and keep up the good work Duffy!
  14. Saha is as good as gone if reports are to be believed... what about McFadden/Anichebe? - neither in the squad tonight and no reported injuries (to my knowledge). Still think there will be more movement.
  15. Zoo's Question of the Day Round 4: Who was the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick? And for which team did he score it for. Cantona - I think you've given it away here... And for which team did he score it for? Leeds. Wouldn't have thought Cantona had you just asked the initial part of the qu but it seems obvious the player in question scored it for a team he's less famous for playing for!
  16. Monday 30th January 2012 Who is the only player to score hat-tricks in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup for the same club? Rooney? Can remember champs league/prem but not FA cup. Maybe Terry Henry?
  17. I wish I was as sure as you - just being realistic. We've conceded about same as Chelsea and spurs (1or2 more) but scored less than Blackburn or Bolton - what does that tell you? We've played the 3 promoted teams and most of the strugglers at home and we're still where we are... no team is too good to go down just ask Newcastle fans.
  18. We're in a relegation battle if we don't find a striker who's going to bag us 10 goals between now and may. We're creating chances and not giving that many away and look where we are in the league and who we've got left to play. I think Jelavic will score in the EPL.
  19. @philmcnulty Also heard whisper of Everton interest in Blackburn's Junior Hoilett but no deal to be done there. Plenty of other clubs would be in too. Oh I do love the transfer window!!!
  20. Liverpool v. Brighton Everton v. Blackpool/Wednesday Chelsea v. Birmingham Crawley v. Stoke Stevenage v. Spurs Norwich v. Leicester Sunderland/Boro v. Arsenal Millwall/Southampton v. Bolton My predictions - we're going to win it boys and girls!!!!!!!!
  21. Darma Sheth just had Rodellega on his screen - says £4m from QPR rejected and west brom/fulham want him - fulham willing to offer AJ.
  22. http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,16994.0.html Rodellega and Jelavic anybody?!
