  1. Exactly. Toffeetalk... For The Thinking Evertonian. What's happening?
  2. The comments that he will be played more at home were made and at the moment that is what's happening. Let's not forget the EFC management/coaching team see him on a daily basis in training - he doesn't just need to prove himself on the pitch, which many on here don't think he has. I think we'll see him cement a place once donovan's loan is up.
  3. Why would he come here? In our current situation e.g not competitive in the transfer market unless we sell, I think we've got the best manager we could wish for. If we were taken over, hence money available, Moyes would then have to prove himself in that situation. If he didn't then a manager like Rodgers/Lambert would be appealing (obviously Mourinho if we ever had billions!!! *wakes-up*) - thing is when we were doing poor last year people were calling for moyes' head and quoting holloway and coyle as better options - it's a funny old game... and let's be honest football fans are generally fickle!
  4. I want Kaspar Schmeical if Leicester don't come up. Maybe in a swap deal involving Silva? (seemlessy bringing us back on topic!!! )
  5. Bringing Neville on for Cahill was a horrible decision - it should have been Jelavic or Anichebe/Drenthe at least. Neville should only be in contention with Hibbert and maybe to come on late in tight games when we need organising to see the game out. Cahill however is far from finished in my eyes - maybe as a 'forward' his best days are behind him... he needs reinventing now because of this. Cahill should be a deeper midfielder now - we'd still benefit from his threat at set pieces. He's still got fight in him I just think it needs to be deeper rather than when we plump for Neville or Johnny in that role. I think we'll see Rodwell playing off Jelavic when fit.
  6. Of course foresight, the word I'm thinking of hasn't been created yet! Hypethetical hindsight will have to do!!!
  7. Anyone know the opposite to hindsight? I'd imagine us fucking Moyes off would have us saying, "We shouldn't have got rid of Moyes!" - hypothetical hindsight hey!
  8. Finally I know what he looks like... now I can plot my plan to get him!!! Reason: taking pictures of my mrs and putting them on t'internet!!!
  9. ...and now you're trying to be Paul Mc'fuckin'Kenna!!!
  10. Three points: 1. Stop watching the soaps! No drama, he's 18 having missed most of his 16/17th year with a broken leg. 2. Are the England u21 team better than our 1st team? 3. You're not a police detective are you?
  11. Not neccessarily, Moyes wants him to start showing more. If Drenthe wants to stay he'll have to earn the contract. I would have him just off the flashes we've seen but I'm sure if he's wanted here and he wants to stay it'll still happen. He's free to sign a pre-contract with any club... he hasn't so why not us?
  12. Seemed to be - we had numbers in the box and a clear cross!
  13. He's done as much as Cahill today. Would take Straq off now then Cahill off for Drenthe a little later moving Donovan inside.
  14. Straq off, Jelavic on for me.
  15. So you did... He got under your skin didn't he?! To be fair I think duncanmc's a decent poster - I think BU/negativity winds him up. I think not bringing Velios in for Saha is very different to bringing Distin back for Duffy.
  16. If he's 100% there's no harm in putting him straight back in. Duffy's done well but he's not all-round as good as Distin yet, so Distin in for Neville moving Hibbo to his natural position... surely people aren't moaning about this? Are they the same that moaned about Hibbo starting CB vs City? Are they the same moaning about Neville playing at all? Meh! COYB!!!
  17. Not disappointed with that team to be honest. Cahill and Straq did enough to keep their shirt on Tues - if it doesn't work Jelavic can be introduced. Pienaar straight back in - think this will help Cahill and strikers in general.
  18. It was before his time coming to think of it as they were still shite 95-96 season when they nicked the last euro spot from us on the final day (1-0 vs Villa, Parkinson!) - sure it was pretty instant success when they got Arse.
  19. Wenger has to be one he's lost champs league to barca and euro to gala and not sure if it was too early for him but the famous cup winners cup final when nayim lobbed seaman? There's all 3 with ??? over 3rd! Not a clue the other maybe van gaal, ancellotti or pellegrinni someone like that - all been around a bit!!!
  20. We've done Friday's qu on here! Thurs: Fletcher, Hendry, Gallagher, McClair.
  21. He's that bad he made a career out of it at the highest level! I've actually sang carols to Carlton, he answered the door in only red boxing shorts, gave us £5 for our troubles - I was only 8 or something at the time so was well chuffed!!!
