  1. A Forest fan’s view… ”Quality player. Very good passer, good engine and tackling has improved. Gutted you’re getting him.”
  2. We signed Beattie in the January window when we sold Graveson and finished 4th at the end of the season. I remember wanting Dean Ashton for £3m but we paid double for Beattie - meh indeed!!!
  3. Rumours that he’s off to Trabzonspor permanently…
  4. This is looking more than a rumour now - going under the radar like much of our business this summer… https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/08/31/everton-samuel-chukwueze-villarreal/
  5. Such a smart move if so - Kean money guaranteed next summer to cover it.
  6. It would be great to get 2 boxed off today - this and Gueye.
  7. I think we’d like 4 but will get 3 through the door. 1. Gueye - this one will hopefully be done and dusted today. 2. Another central midfield player from Dendoncker, Garner, Kudus (although he may be seen as more of an attacking wide player), Gallagher (on-loan if he becomes available), Gilmour (although I think we’ve since moved on). 3. A wide ‘live wire’ forward player loads linked and still think new names will appear - Chukwueze is a new name today, that Ukrainian lad - maybe something completely out of the blue here, wouldn’t surprise me if Traore gets mentioned again. 4. A striker - Brereton Diaz, Pedro, Broja (on-loan late if he becomes available), Hwang (I think this was just paper talk though), maybe one of the players from the French league linked earlier in the window Guirassy, Moffi, etc. I think we’ll actively be looking to sell Allan, Gomes and Rondon - Keane or Mina probably would have been available had Mina, Godfrey and Holgate not got injured. Not using any of the subs yesterday spoke volumes. I think and hope we’ll still be very busy.
  8. Of all the attacking players linked - this is the one I’d love to happen. Some of the players linked may be ‘better’ now but I think Pedro would really kick on at us - he’ll be a full international before too long and £30m will seem an absolute bargain.
  9. He’s a very impressive young man - think he’ll be an incredible signing!
  10. Think he may have brought them on if deadline day wasn’t so close - I expect both (and Rondon) are for sale and Lampard wouldn’t have wanted to risk injury/ they may play with moves in mind.
  11. Class - put a proper striker in there and he’ll have the numbers where we can ask £100m next summer!
  12. Patterson - if only he could have finished that chance to top it off!!! I thought McNeil supported him well. Special mention to Iwobi and Onana - add Gueye and that is a very good 3 with Doucoure and hopefully one more to come in as back-up. We looked much happier in a 4-3-3.
  13. Don’t forget Garner - we love G’s in the middle! We’ve got a few spare G’s in the club shop with Gbamin going and hopefully Gomes not far behind!
  14. There will be hundreds of rumours, bids, enquiries and suggestions between now and Wednesday but I’m going to stick my neck out and make a bold prediction that we’ll sign a central midfield player whose surname begins with G!
  15. Who knows??? Chelsea are linked to Zaha now so I expect the same names (especially Gallagher) will be talked about as part of the deal as they have with us.
  16. Good source for EFC news. Also says we want Hwang from Wolves which I’m indifferent over!
  17. Yes, mainstay since he’s been there but only had 12months on his contract which is why I expect they’ve let him go. As for other striking options - obviously Welbeck, then they’ve had Undav from their chairman’s other club in Germany and a very young South American lad - to be fair they’ve done well in this market. Andone is someone they’re trying to get rid of. I do wonder if Brighton will be in for another striker - they identified Nunez last summer for much less than what was paid this summer.
  18. Could be lost in translation and mean £25m plus Gallagher then Broja on loan… £25m plus both though is ridiculous.
  19. I will also add that this could easily be his agent touting him about to a better league to try to force a move/get a bite - I expect there will be loads of these ‘non-story’ links for every club before Wednesday.
  20. Lovely left foot - set piece specialist - very creative BUT you’ve got to question his motivation (or maybe ill advised) over the move to Saudi when there was interest in him from clubs in much more competitive leagues.
