It would probably make the competition more competitive though - utd put their ressies out against us in the last semi, something many others have been guilty of. Not saying it should happen but I think it would bring an end to this. I'd love the cup winners cup to come back with 2 teams from each country, the champions league to be just a league winners comp and Europa to have 2-4th from each country. Champs league could be 4 groups of say 6 who play h/a and top 2 from each go into the quarters etc.

This has been explained elsewhere... the runner-up will only go into europe if the winner achieves a champs league pos - otherwise it goes to league. So we need to get to the final then either win it or lose to whoever gets champs league pos out of chelsea or spurs.

Or face whoever gets the champs league place in the final.

Thing is these players are to Norwich and Bolton what Big Dunc is to us... maybe not as idolised but what you're saying is what opposing fans said for years about ferguson.

Kevin Davies was a top player early doors and has been very effective at what he does for years. He made his big move too early I think - never really made it at Blackburn when he cost them something like £8m. Look up his goal for Southampton against us - he wasn't always just the brute you make him out to be. As for Holt... 12 in the prem this season? He's certainly effective!

Think similarities are where we were positionally in comparison to each other - that has slipped more drastically for villa since O'Neill has left - he got more out of his players than anyone since. I always had to remind villa 'fans' how much they spent compared to us when they used to say we were similar in the few seasons we battled it out for 5th pos.

Why should kenwright tell the fans the price? He shouldn't. He said that we need a mega rich owner as we need a stadium... only man city and Chelsea have seen this kind of money in the PL to date. We need a takeover yes but we need multi, multi millions - where takeovers have become common place the kind of money we need still isn't.

Pardew for me. Rodgers and Lambert have both done very well but Pardew's signings and getting the best out of some average players has been excellent. Special mentions for SAF and Old Arry too! To be fair if Moyes finishes top 8 with a wembley final then he'll be worth a mention!

Moyes goes on goals on Sunday every year at least once and kenwright was on because of the 10 years of Moyes 'celebrations'. Both were very honest and seem to have a genuine good relationship. I believe this relationship is part of why we have been able to keep most of our talents, etc. Look across at villa once again - they've had this take over we're all fantasising about - yeah but it would be different for us, we've got Moyes... The same Moyes who should have been replaced by Holloway when he was doing good, Coyle in his purple patch and now Lambert or Rodgers?! Some fans need to stop playing computer games and get real!
