Lerner is a villa fan supposidely (long before he bought them). Overall though he's a business man - he put a lot in and yes it was wasted but he's now recouped most of that. It's all if's and but's about what Moyes could have done with that backing but overall I'd rather be us than them. If we ever get taken over then we need sustainability - we need the stadium... be it redevelopment or from scratch. Villa have just about survived the investment/cut backs but they have a more 'profitable' infastructure - we don't and I'd fear a 'villa scenario' ruining our great club.

As we can't get the players in over the summer so our seasons often begin with a 'stale' or 'negative' mentality... fresh blood brings competition, new ideas and possibly most importantly optimism. Maybe this will be the summer that we get players in and build on what we have, it's certainly done us well since January.

At start of season England gets 7 euro spots... Champs league - manu, manc, arse and say spurs. Europa - shite, newcastle and chelsea The teams may shuffle from those 2 categories but the fact is they are the 7 teams representing England in Europe next season and the only thing that can change that is if England wins an extra place through the fair play league. In the past that 7 has been 9 due to intertoto and fair play league place.

We can't, highest we can finish is 7th. If Chelsea win cl then Newcastle and spurs get Europa with the shite on the presumption that the top 3 will remain the same.
