He's another N'Zogbia... if he can recreate his Blackburn form then he'll be a great signing for someone but equally it may not work at another club e.g N'Zogbia at villa. As said - he's not a special player... just yet! We can't afford to take the gamble wage wise whereas it may not break rich clubs structures. This has got spurs, newcastle and west ham written all over it!

I remember thinking Whitaker looked good in a champs league game and have heard good things about Naismith but couldn't make an accurate judgement on either as haven't seen them play enough!

Don't think he has yet - if we were really close to getting him in jan on-loan then this is a deal that could be possible - looks a Moyes-type player e.g. versatile/hard-working.

We have had to sell when teams all around us are strengthening, January was the 1st time since Distin/Bily/Johnny when we actually invested in our first team and look what that did!!! I'm not surprised we've not been in europe. If Moyes can spend a little and improve rather than replace then we'll have qualified for Europe again this time next year - that I am very confident of.
