Where did you hear that? A loan then permanent could be the best deal all round here. If he impresses in a better team then fee justified plus wolves can cling on to maybe having him back should they return. These relegated prem teams don't need the money because of their parachute payments, they just need to lower their wage bills (in case they don't return within 2 yrs) - they can charge high prices for players as they have these payments still coming in so don't need to sell and shouldn't really need to strengthen their own squads too much. I'd have him on a loan type deal but wouldn't pay anywhere near what wolves want. Do we really need him though? I'm not convinced.

Felli was the best player on the pitch followed by Jags. Their best player was De Gea which is a compliment to us. Kagawa looked tidy (I was left underwhelmed by him) but he did no more than Leon Osman! A special mention must go to Tony 'Tiger' Hibbert - some of his challenges were brilliant - a good old fashioned rb!!! Re. Fergie's comments... meh! He'd love to hoof it to felli rather than dilly-dally around the box without creating anything - they played like Arsenal... nice passing/possession but no penetration. The only time they bossed possession was when we went ahead and they bought on 3 players worth more than our entire squad! The better team won on the night - end of story!

I imagine we'll have some sort of 'gentleman's agreement' with City on the back of the Rodwell deal saying if Johnson gets loaned out then it's to us - unless an acceptable permanent deal is on the table. The only way we'll get him is if it's on-loan and he/City reject other permanent offers or we sell Baines to cover the fee. (or in dream world - Moses goes to Chelsea and Wigan firm up their interest in Anichebe and that's enough to add to what's left from the Rodwell money!)

I haven't come across this type - I must live a sheltered life!!! Both share dialect with 4th Official. All excellent sources and more importantly true blues. LCAB especially - the man took the time to attend funerals of Ball (something Jimmy Ball has acknowledged), West and probably others, he also does a lot with the justice campaign for hillsborough. He also represents us fans well on talksport - top blue!
