  1. Moyes deserves a decent send off because he's been good for us and is leaving us for arguably the biggest job in football. If he was leaving us for any team then it's different but he's not, it's the most supported team in the world. Moyes has shown his loyalty by turning down (or not forcing) many opportunities in the past. ManU and the chance to replace SAF is the one job I don't think any manager (bar Guardiola) would turn down.
  2. Not a bad read/analysis on a current favourite... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22187777
  3. Mancini anyone? Will be out of work regardless of tomorrow's result it seems with Pellegrinni at 1/10 with some bookies!!!
  4. People suggesting Di Matteo need to talk to WBA fans - late for training and criticised for not putting the hours in are 2 of the criticisms I heard from a few fans even before he left them.
  5. If we do get Martinez (which I'd quite like), I'd hope the likes of Stubbs and Weir stayed on the coaching staff as I'm not convinced he is as savvy with the defensive side of things as he is with the attacking, free-flowing football. Watching Wigan's defending on Tuesday was horrible - it was a true reflection of them though, attacking great, defending shite!
  6. The FA Cup final is likely to be goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon's last game for Manchester City, after the 26-year-old revealed that he wants to find a club where he is number one. Full story: The Independent We should be straight on this if it's true - he looks a solid keeper.
  7. Claus Thomsen should only ever be considered in worst xi's - such a low, low point for our famous club!!!
  8. Stevenage, Dag & Red, Yeovil, Accrinton Stanley, Halifax Town. Trying to think of teams from an early manager game on the amiga where you had to start in the conference pre champ manager!!!
  9. ...and as if by magic Basel take the lead at the Bridge!!!
  10. Should Moyes go, which I don't think he will any longer, I would hope Murat Yakin is in the mix. I'm basing this solely on how impressed I have been with Basel performances against English opposition in recent weeks. I like how they play football and have been really impressed with many of their players... and Yakin's got good hair!!!

    Zoo's Quiz.

    Niemi, Monkou, Benali.
  12. @FourthOfficial_: Team of the Year: De Gea; Zabaleta, Ferdinand, Vertonghen, Baines; Mata, Carrick; Hazard, Suarez, Bale; Van Persie #PFA Still not convinced that Hazard's lived up to hype/price tag. Class player, no doubt, but I just don't think he's been THE best with PFA nominations too. Can't really argue with that team to be honest.

  14. This chap is supposedly coming to us on trial after leaving Lierse with his contract up in June. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylon_Claasen
  15. Jags was excellent - really enjoyed some of Barkley's play - would like to see him in front of Felli/Gibbo as our 1st choice cm for the run-in as Ossie looks weary!

    Zoo's Quiz.

Shearer sounds a good shout! What about Ferdinand for QPR and Spurs?
  17. @FourthOfficial_: @MichaelBridge_ @WWEFandango @Everton Everton fans pranking a radio DJ about Fandango now want his song played at GP, club said no lol
  18. @Everton: @WWEFandango Mr Fandango. We've a rich history. We'd be happy to welcome you to Goodison to tell you more & maybe even play your theme song.
  19. It's to do with loads of Blues taking the piss out of a local radio presenter - Potts? There's been loads on twitter about blues going on his show with prank calls and making loose links to players with their shout-outs. Sure fandango was in the back ground of one of the calls or something. I've not fully followed it and with not being local, don't know who this Potts chap is although I get the jist that he's a tool... I may be wrong but that's what I've made of what's going on.
  20. Sad Spurs lost in a way but hopefully that will be mentally draining enough!!! Pity they've got the weekend off!
  21. Here's a bit more - the more said, the more it seems in context e.g Moyes qualifies what he says without it sounding so harsh... Moyesy said: "He's had a lot of niggles. He's nearly not quite adapted to what the Premier League means and how the games go. "I look at him and he's signalling to me with 15 minutes to go - so maybe he's not quite got what's required at Everton or the Premier League. "What he has got in abundance though is pace, ability, he can score goals, he can take you on and he can play in two or three different positions. "But we're finding that we're getting 60 or 70 minutes into games and thinking will he keep going? Will he pick up an injury? Will he lose concentration? "His ability is not in question but there are a lot of players who can take time to get used to the Premier League. "He missed three months through the middle, so he's had a bit at the start and now at the end. So maybe he's not quite got up to match speed all the time and we may have to deal with it to the end of the season. "When you stay at Everton for a time it gets you used to it. Look at how Marouane Fellaini has recently played with injuries, look at Phil Jagielka and Tim Howard. "That mentality grows on you when you have been here a while, so when you're new to it maybe he's not aware that's what you do at Everton. "Because we don't have the numbers, or in some cases the quality at times, when we can say 'Don't worry you can come out because we've got someone to replace you'. "We need people to play in two or three positions which he can do - but quite often you have to go out there when you're not always at 100 per cent."
