  1. FC Porto president was very non-committal regarding Vitor's future tonight... @rcatalao: FC Porto's president: "Vítor Pereira's future is yet to be decided. I can't tell if it's going to be with Porto or outside." @FCPortoWorld: PdC: " I am very careful in choosing managers." #FCPorto
  2. I have a few mutual friends with his son... his son's an interesting character to put it mildly. Last I heard he was training with monks in the Far East, I'm not sure if he's over his cross dressing phase - and that's not even scratching the surface!
  3. I'm judging him mainly on his work with Germany as manager - he got the youngsters playing and transformed an aging squad - something we will need at EFC sooner rather than later.
  4. Klinsmann follows us on twitter along with Arsenal and Spurs... our follow looks recent so some have added 2 and 2 but only time will tell if the outcome is 4! I'll say it again, I'd love him over any other manager that's been linked but he's a national team manager with a World Cup next year so I really just can't see it!
  5. What perfect timing http://www.cbc.ca/m/touch/sports/soccer/story/2013/05/19/sp-soccer-napoli-serie-a-walter-mazzarri-quits.html
  6. Coleman has gone from worse than James McClean last season to better than Kyle Walker this season - an excellent season for him!
  7. Arsenal/Emirates revenues can't be compared to ours as they are a London club who charge London prices and in turn are alienating many fans!
  8. Say we have Martinez next season and say we set up with the 3 centre backs, I actually think Hibbert would be an important squad player to allow this (obviously not as the wing back!!!) As a character at EFC I absolutely love him.
  9. With Martinez he was 1st choice for Villa and Liverpoo last season, yes he's just been relegated but he hasn't just become a bad manager because of this. I'd like him when all is considered. I'd hope he'd keep many of the backroom staff and be able to build on solid foundations.
  10. http://www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/chester-sport/everton-fc-news/2013/05/17/everton-star-hibbert-reads-for-nursery-children-59067-33342770/
  11. I don't think anybody can do what Moyes has done if they are brought in to fill his shoes as a like for like replacement, that's why I don't want Lennon, Round, Stubbs, O'Neill, etc... I want a totally fresh approach which may actually propel us higher with our current squad/assets - a risk yes but for me it's the best option. Because of this the likes of Martinez, Pereira, Laudrup, etc appeal to me. The one anomaly for me is McKay, as I see him as like for like but I can see the appeal.
  12. Vlad Weiss who they had off city but that was only on loan.
  13. Wigan will lose tomorrow and Martinez will be given a good send off by Wigan on Sunday as he prepares to take over at Goodison - I actually think it will be that simple!!!
  14. South Korean Chung Young Lee. Korea were there weren't they?
  15. Lee plus the 2 mikeO added unless Cahill was in the England squad (but I don't think he was).
  16. 2014 is a World Cup year so I doubt he'd leave USA before that.
  17. Depends if he's settled in the NW. It'll be the best available job in the area that's for sure.
  18. An excellent send off - deserved too. Thankfully the boo boys are a minority and didn't sour the occasion.
  19. There's the negatives... some positive signings at Spurs include Bale, Lennon, Berbatov and Dawson. Still rate him for what he's done in England regardless.
  20. I actually rate Jol as a manager, buys good players - did a good job at spurs and signed many of the players in the team that are now challenging for the champions league. He's done well at Fulham too in my opinion.
  21. Don't worry, SSN are saying he's not even on the bench, he'll just be there for a deserved good send off.
