  1. There have been some right whoopers in here!!! Better than Gerrard, double standards... a range of opinions are great but some of the nonsense being spouted in here... really?!?!

  3. Barton's used twitter (surprise) to dismiss any speculation of him coming to us... it seems it's his agent - Barton says he wants the move to Marsielle.

  5. I think the biggest thing will be off the football/training pitch. In France he'd have gone unnoticed to some extent when not at work but here, especially around and about Liverpool it will be a totally different story, people will be looking for that reaction, reporters will be looking for that front/back page. No one is questioning Barton's footballing ability here. Maybe he's matured, although some of his twitter rants suggest otherwise (see Hamman-gate!) but he's got a family now, hopefully the 'boozing in town' is in the past and that's his main out of work focus. I guess we will see...
  6. ...and I was saying of course he does, why wouldn't he?! I asked the question originally as to further developments.
  7. Of course he wants the move... thankfully all of the noise is coming from the players camp and not our club.
  8. http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2013-07-31/joey-barton-keen-on-everton-move/ The talksport interview.
  9. Confirmed what? McKay said Martinez and Jones both like Barton's playing ability, that's all. I like Barton's playing ability.
  10. If we were to sign him, something I don't want to happen, there would need to be some very public clauses in his contract. The decision to sign him must come from not only the management but it must be put to the players too. We're built on togetherness and team spirit, if anyone at the club who will have to work with him opposes this then they should be listened to.

    Juventus

4am as in tonight/tomorrow morning. Am I getting up? No!
  12. We've been in for him a few times in the past but he's decided to chase the money e.g Newcastle - maybe he should have come begging earlier if he wanted to play for us so much.

  14. Love and appreciate all Moyes has done for us but am really excited and encouraged by Martinez's vision but as others have said how can this be judged before any competitive football?! I hope Martinez can build on what Moyes has done. Lets not forget the solid foundations that Roberto will hopefully be building on have been laid by Moyes.
  15. Brilliant scene... possibly my favourite too!
  16. Have you seen the film Machete? Very different to Banshee but it gave me the same enjoyment... watch it if you haven't already!
  17. Trainspotting is brilliant, not seen it for over 10years so will have to give it another viewing myself!
  18. I'm enjoying it... not as much as I did Banshee but it still looks addictive!
  19. I'm sure I read somewhere that Watford was a loan option for him too. I'd like to send him to Wigan personally - Coyle played a vital part in Wilshire's development whilst at Bolton.
  20. The origins of the rumour... @BobbyFaghihi: @Regista_Michael shall we start a rumour that someone a premier league club contacted him? @Regista_Michael: @BobbyFaghihi yeah, like linked with Everton so all the Utd/LFC/Arsenal fans start going "sign him up!" apeshit. Then cue the ITK fake agent account... @Get_Goal_Side: @Regista_Michael Hey, have you seen those quotes on Hernanes from Everton boss Martinez? @Regista_Michael: @Get_Goal_Side I haven't but it's no secret that Martinez is a big fan of the Brazilian. What did he say? @Get_Goal_Side: @Regista_Michael Well, I'm glad you asked. It went, "he's an interesting option. There has been no offer, but he's a player I like a lot" Be careful with twitter rumours chaps!!! Please delete this thread mods!
  21. Tipping Point is brilliant isn't it?!
  22. You can watch the whole game on evertonTV on the iPad without paying (well you could last night). We looked very impressive in possession but as said Blackburn sadly didn't look too good. Oviedo played very well, Gibson looks comfortable dropping in to get the ball from the cb's, Barkley looked lively, Pienaar and Mirrallas were always a threat, Distin looks solid still, Coleman is just top notch and Stones looks very comfortable in possession. I was very happy for Jelavic too. I think Martinez only wants players who are really comfortable with the ball at their feet so could actually see Anichebe being sacrificed and it makes me wonder are there actually players better suited than Fellaini - looking at how we set up maybe taking say £24m and buying 3 players with that money may be the way forward. Overall I'm feeling optimistic, I'm not going to get carried away though.
