I remember there being a quote that we were his 2nd choice behind Arsenal. Regarding last summer... how good does that fake Fellaini bid look now?! Most dismissed him (and Giroud) - both class players and proving it this season.

On a more positive note they do seem to be growing with Kompany, Fellaini and now Cahill among others signing with them.

I'd imagine it'd be to replace Nike rather than Chang - I agree the LFC ones are horrible!

From what I've been told he was planning on going to play his twilight years in the MLS but he has been so impressed with EFC and the training facilities that he may delay that if a more permanent offer from us comes around.

Many of us rate McCarthy, many have rated Barkley very highly and are delighted he's getting his chance to shine, many have commented on Felli's limitations who had previously seen we had a beast of a player in his earlier days, many have seen tactical limitations with Moyes and many are very optimistic about Martinez and his style. Just because some are more cautious in their comments and try not to get too carried away it doesn't mean they don't know/foresee this.

Overall no one stood out as such but this wasn't helped by us not being given the opportunity to go 2-1 up and potentially have gone in at half-time with a lead. After the timing/our lack of discipline for their 2nd goal the contest seemed to be over and Man C took total control in 2nd half really. Naismith was arguably our best player in the 1st half but he was very poor in the 2nd. Ross had a poor game but kept going which is a huge positive. I must say I agree with those saying McCarthy over the 90minutes. Overall I'm not too down over the end result but just annoyed by maybe what could have been.

I popped £5 on big rom at 7/2 for first goalscorer which soon became 7/1 for his double - so £40 take home which is a nice little bonus! Although I was holding out for my 14/1 hat-trick heaven!!! May re-invest a £5 on Champs League tonight and tomorrow.

De Bruyne's recovering from having an operation on his ligaments isn't he - at least 6mths rehab.
