I remember the day well - brilliant atmosphere and a great win (I remember there being a bit of turmoil in the Sunderland camp with some of their players enjoying the festive period a bit too much!) A repeat today would be perfect - COYB!!!

To be fair to him he looked a brilliant prospect when at WBA but the £8m (?) price tag seemed to weigh heavily when at Villa. I remember Villa sold Cahill for about £4m to fund it - probably not the best bit of business!!! He looks good at Hull but I think this is just paper talk.

I've fully warmed to the idea of him coming in Jan because... 1. His goals/assist record in Russian is excellent (albeit not the greatest league but by no means a low standard). 2. He'll fit straight in with him already knowing the likes of McCarthy, Coleman, Gibson and Duffy. 3. With Delofeou out we need at least 1 more winger anyway. 4. He'll be hungry to prove himself in the Prem. 5. He won't cost too much with his contract up in the summer. 6. and most importantly... Roberto obviously likes him having tracked him while at Wigan - I'm sure he's done his homework on how he'll use him at EFC!

I think Oviedo playing ahead of Baines will be used in upcoming fixtures - Pienaar got quite a knock yesterday which may stiffen up (don't bother!!!) and Mirallas looks in need of a rest. Oviedo has looked decent on the few occasions he's played more advanced - he did a really good job vs West Ham away earlier this season. I think we'll get another winger in Jan but I'd be more than happy with Bryan staying in the mix in that position.

You've been a good poster up to now but when a non-Evertonian starts personally abusing any Evertonian on an Everton forum it just dosen't sit well with me so either wind it in or hop it.

Coleman/McCarthy for being our most positive players... Coleman just for the goal nicked it. Mirallas and Lukaku really disappointed me today - Mirallas' decision making was poor and as a result needed an extra touch on countless occasions when he got the ball... but still we win so fingers crossed on an upturn in form for them both!
