  1. Really glad we didn't sign Butland - seems to have got worse since his move. Garbutt is having an absolute blinder!!!
  2. Garbutt's playing now for England u21s - playing really well early doors... reminds me of Leighton Baines! Browning is on the bench.
  3. William Shakespeare and Dr Samuel Johnson - let's not tarnish us 'midlanders' with the same brush... although Villa, WBA, Stoke, Wolves and Birminingham fans don't really sell the area!!!
  4. I think Willian is absolutely brilliant and think he'll come into his own next season - been really impressed with his end of season form.
  5. He was excellent at Watford albeit at a lower level.
  6. I'm clinging on to the Tom Cleverly who was the best player on the pitch at Goodison while at Wigan - think Roberto knows what he's doing with this one. Cleverly's WAG is incredible (worth at least half his fee to see her at Goodison!)
  7. I don't think you get the joke! (There's at least 4 clues.) (It's not a real piece of artwork).
  8. Westwood's the one for me at Villa, I'd have him over Delph. Not a fan of Weimann at all.

  10. Benteke - Villa Mascharano - West Ham Tevez - West Ham Defoe - West Ham Parker - West Ham/Charlton Rooney - Everton Collocini - Newcastle Milner - Newcastle/Leeds Martyn - Leeds Viduka - Leeds Kewell - Leeds The surface has barely been scratched!

  12. I think he'll end up at Man City as an upgrade on Milner.
  13. Phil Jones has left OT in a sling for a shoulder injury... if Stones isn't already on Hodgson's mind for Brazil then he must be now - at least in the 30 to have a look at. Edit... oopps, prob should be in the England thread rather than World Cup. Mods please feel free to move this.
  14. Excellent player... imagine the workrate between him and McCarthy - would be unbelievable. He's got a lot of class too.
  15. Pretty much this for me too - not sure about Redmond still. The young centre back at Fulham, Burns, may be worth keeping an eye on too. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Mitrigu at Fulham as he came with high stock but injuries haven't helped him. Also Hooper, van Wolfswinkel and Fer haven't set the world alight but I expect there'll be demand for them. Big move for Caulker too - he needs to be playing.

    Everton v Man City

I 'went the game' and sang with the rest of gwladys street from start to finish... yes it did go quiet after half time only because the singers were belting out a few chorus' of 'Roberto had a dream' by the bar! I wanted Everton to win but it was plainly obvious that 5th was our position (yeah but WBA could have beat Arse - could they fuck!) and as the game went on it was clear that actually we've had an excellent season and losing at the expense of that lot maybe wasn't so bad! I'm certain our crowd was riddled with kopites yesterday, certainly round by me anyway.
  17. I just thrown the league - completely forgot to do this! Was going to say EFC 2 - 3 Citeh with Barkley scoring 1st but never mind!!! Hull 0 - 2 Everton Barkley
  18. ...and we're the bitter ones!!! Enjoy the Villa forum!
  19. Gutted for the Liverpool fans who came on our forum to support us.
  20. He seems very lazy to me and generally a very frustrating player... for all his brilliance he doesn't have the final pass/finish. Brilliant in flashes - wouldn't put him as a 1st choice and certainly not ahead of Barry. My opinion of him has gone down a lot this season having watched him a bit closer with us being linked.
  21. The grass is green and the girls are pretty.
