Someone gets paid to write this shite!
Charlie Austin is scoring in a fast breaking counter attacking side. We begin a counter and look back when we get to the edge of their box... okay Rom's hold up play often doesn't help. Austin probably wouldn't have 11 goals as our leading striker this season with the way we play.
If we set up like we did against Wolfsburg away then Rom would have more goals I would imagine.
It's ridiculous. Even then with Borini he turns it straight to Flamini was lucky to be on!
Really like Neville and Carragher has grown on me - both manage to remain passionate about their clubs but impartial.
You'd think having invested so much money in him, we'd try playing to his strengths. We know finishing is what he's good at and he's at his best with play in front of him/facing goal. The way we've set up of late has not helped him one bit.
Kone was coming on at 2-0 then sent back to the bench when they made it 3.
It was as if Martinez was trying to make a point - risky stuff - see Phil Brown at Hull with his on pitch team talk!
Martinez - Southampton were missing key players so played 5-3-2... why we didn't I just don't know. Tactically outclassed.
Shite atmosphere again but we all got a shitty blue gnome hat so every cloud!
Boring and lifeless! Playing badly and winning seems to be working for Man U and Spurs so why not?!
Off down to Southampton on Sat - would take another boring and lifeless performance for 3 points!
