    Keep him there of course but it doesn't mean that he couldn't evolve into a very handy cm option when required. It's too soon to write him off after a poor team performance in a team playing with little to no confidence.

    I agree. He could certainly be a cm... let's give him a go when we're playing with more confidence and then judge him.

    If there is any truth in the Sampdoria link then we should push for a deal involving Romero. He's on the bench today and was out on loan to Monaco so presumably out of favour. Would be a decent experienced option and still only 27.

    John Stones - he'll be the most important player to keep fit for the rest of the season now. Must be the 1st name on every team sheet now because with him we can actually defend half decently!

    Not linked to us but... @GuillemBalague: Aston Villa makes an offer of 5m euros for Carlos Gil (Valencia, an Isco type). Club would like him to go on loan so no decision taken yet We could sure do with an 'Isco type'! Anyone know much about him? I've heard of him but can't remember ever seeing him play.

    I completely agree with this but while he's here he'll be played or others will be played out of position to accomodate him. He should be playing as the striker alone or as a 2. I don't think Roberto will accomodate this way with Kone and Naismith available (and obviously Lukaku).
