If we're sending Galloway and Browning out on loan maybe we'll sign a couple of centre halves unless of course Barry/Besic are considered options.
2-1 Sevilla
Deulofeu not even on the bench... he needs to get his career back on track (here of course).
Just also read that Stoke are favourites to sign Konoplyanka on a free - I'd hope we'd be in for him.

We're clearly signing Bale then... no link as such but him and Jags in Marbella discussing the finer details over a round of golf. DONE DEAL ?
The real question is will it be a season long loan or a £85m permanent deal (spread over 50years)?
Hallelujah! What position are any of us in to value a football club?
P.S if anyone is a professional football valuation person then please give us some insight!!!
I'd be more comfortable with Barry there over Besic - I'm not entirely convinced by Besic yet. I can see he'll be an asset and hope he'll step up after a good pre-season.
Hopefully he will be eventually... put it like this, imagine it's us in the FA Cup final on Saturday vs Arsenal and our only options to partner Stones are Barry or Browning, who do you go for? It'd be Barry 100% for me.
I do, the youths have to be good enough first though e.g Stones, Barkley and Garbutt. A position like centre back especially. I'm not supporting the idea of Barry being used as a cb, it's just what I see happening.
So we've obviously got Stones and Jags as 1st choice cb pairing. We're after another cb to buy. Browning is 5th choice cb according to Martinez on the Followtonians interview. There's a missing cb there by my calculations... many won't like this but I have a feeling that Gareth Barry may be used as our 4th choice cb.
Really enjoyed the interview. Not many managers would be that open so fair play to Roberto for his openness and honesty.
I like how honest/respectful he was over Garbutt (who's talking contracts with us this week if ToffeeTV are to be believed). His outlook on youth and development is a massive positive into opinion. Sure I read someone giving him stick on not giving youth a chance on here - I disagree completely, think he's got plans for many coming through - it obviously takes time though.
I can't see this happening anyway and certainly not for £10m with his contract having 12months left on it. If Martinez is saying we won't have £28m, he's not going to spunk almost 1/3 of that on Johnny F'king Evans.
We can only really compare Martinez to Moyes when he's had say 5 years in charge.
I do agree that Martinez inherited a much better squad than Moyes did (because of the fantastic job Moyes did at this club) but we can only judge when Martinez has got his squad in place.
I personally think that this seasons failure is more that we weren't equipped to compete in Europe alongside the Prem - quite resemblent of Moyes finishing 11th after our Champs League/UEFA cup 'adventure'.
