I think that's a fair statement but at the same time England showed more intent overall and I would say we just about deserved it for this (I'm sure you'll see that as England bias).
I'm saying I'd rather have Heaton than Nyland if Howard's going but if there's a younger alternative that is good enough now then perfect! I'd love Begovic but can't see us meeting his ambitions should he leave Stoke - probably cost more than £10m too.
If Howard is returning to USA this summer then Heaton's the no brainer for me. It's too important of a position to plunk for potential (although I'm sure we've done our homework). 30 is no age for a keeper - he's got at least 6 more years at the top. Look at Howard and Martyn - our best keepers post Southall.
If Howard's sticking about then Nyland's the no brainer - get him out on loan in the Prem/Championship and see if he's the real deal. £2.2m is a steal if he's as good as he promises.
Haf would make a brilliant politician, I wouldn't vote for him, but he's got highlighting what he wants for his argument (even it means ignoring other facts and often contradicting himself) to a tee!
It's Geri's other half's birthday - may explain why the flight over is on Sunday as they're clearly celebrating it somewhere a little warm and more glamorous than North West England.

Ward Prowse has a wand of a right foot. Kane came into it a bit towards the end of the 1st - I don't like Spurs but hope Kane fulfils his early promise. England could sure do with what he promises to be.
This needs a thread.
Just watching us vs Portugal. Decent game so far. Portugal look a decent attacking team but we've had a few decent passages. Garbutt looks his usual impressive self and Challobah has shown a decent range in his passing. Kane none existent so far. 0-0 after 30mins.

Doubt it, certainly not at that price. Will be interested to see how he (and Wilson) do in the Prem though.
I've seen Villa want Huddlestone too - couple of good signings if they come off. It's still early but I'd be quite optimistic if I was a Villa fan - proven solid premiership players rather than stock piling cheap youngsters who may make the step up but haven't been good enough (Westwood aside). Sinclair could prove a decent buy for them too.
