    Arsenal and Chelsea both lose in Europe. How Everton would it be if we finish 4th in the season where England's Champions League representatives get cut to 3?!

    Martinez already said that Galloway would have 40 (?) games at left back before he'd start looking at getting him in cb. Regardless, I'm sure Galloway is well ahead of any schedule. It's working currently and long may that continue.

    Deulofeu - he was THE game plan! We tried to get the ball to him early but couldn't and kept forcing it but when we did he put quality into the box every time. He was a different class!

    I can see why Chelsea wanted Stones so badly, they're a shambles at the back. It will be interesting to see if Jose's successor comes in for him again in January.

    Gutted for Luke Shaw who broke his leg tonight vs PSV. He was beginning to look like the prospect which made ManU splash all that £££ on. Big blow for England too, he'd have been the main competition for Baines vying for left back at the Euros.

    Exactly. Moyes used him as a winger and he was ineffective at best. When Martinez used him as a winger last season the whole team looked unbalanced (same too when Barkley was used there). People aren't questioning his worth just how he's used. Yesterday was perfect for him. Sadly there are plenty more examples of where he's been misused.

    I thought his cameo was really important yesterday. He helped us manage the game at 2-1 and then obviously kill it off at 3-1. I think his know how will be massively important to us this season and he will prove to be one of the shrewdest pieces of business in the whole league.

    Viera cost £500k from AC (something in that region anyway). Hardly serious money. They got Anelka at a similar price too. I remember Henry came at a cut price as he was poor as a winger in Italy. Don't remember Bergkamp being a massive fee either, even for the time.
