  1. £57m... imagine if he was half-decent?!?! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-closing-transfer-evertons-romelu-8523461
  2. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/533679/Everton-Senegal-Star-Ronald-Koeman-John-Stones-Transfer-Gossip-Rumours-EFC-News Mbodj + Gueye = placing a couple of very capable international teammates of Koulibaily to tempt him here?
  3. I want us to go big for Mustafi - he'd be a top class Stones replacement. Would he want another crack here? I think they'd be a good chance.
  4. I saw a lot more purpose to the passing and a lot less fannying around. I also saw pressure higher up the pitch. Koeman's post match comments were the biggest difference though. Rather than 'phenomenal', he focused on the obvious areas for improvement from the performance. https://twitter.com/everton/status/758195577729363968
  5. These are premier league stats; non-comparable to Niasse's in Russia. Could be a plucky signing... he was involved in pretty much anything good Villa did last season and there wasn't a lot of that. Seems he can pick a pass as well as the energy and defensive duties.
  6. Wijnaldum said himself that he was waiting for an offer from Everton but it didn't come so he signed for Livershite so I doubt he was 1st choice. It's all speculation, we may not even want Arnautovic. We will be used by a lot of agents to get their clients better contracts this summer with our new found wealth and apparent need for a number of positions.
  7. My Stoke mate's opinion... "Looks like it's a distinct possibility. He is in the last year of his contract so 12.5million is about right I guess. He was asking for a 100k a week to sign an extension which we'd never pay...and with us signing this Egyptian lad I think he may well be leaving. A fantastic player on his day...scores goals, creates chances and is strong as an ox....when he can't be arsed tho he's a nightmare, throwing arms in the air etc. I think he splits the stoke fans... love him on a good day but he can be frustrating. Capable of getting better too if the manager can handle him. One of those players who can get arses up from the seats! We'll miss his goals for sure."
  8. Is this the Sunderland Kone? Certainly helped get their defence sorted at the end of last season it seemed but don't know much about him. Micah Richards is off there for £5m - Moyes will have him as a big strong right back no doubt.
  9. Would be a good squad player but not an improvement on what we've got already in my opinion. Mirallas is a better player in my opinion - he's just been poorly managed for a couple of years. As said though - £12.5m is a steal with some of the ridiculous prices flying around.
  10. I'd personally be delighted. Think he's an excellent all round keeper. He was Stoke's best player season after season during his time there.

  12. He certainly claims to be a blue. The previous mayor was a kopite.
  13. Good, let's get this done and some new players through the doors at Finch Farm.
  14. Sounds like this is done already with just a bit of theatre being played out to appease Leicester fans on their side. Putting 2 and 2 together, I see us moving for Michael Keane as a CB option with Stones outgoing. Leicester have been in for Keane this summer and we've been tracking him for a couple of seasons too.
  15. Red Shite in for him... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/690301/Liverpool-eye-20m-move-Newcastle-s-Georginio-Wijnaldum-Everton-Spurs-miss-out-News-Gossip
  16. The option to go 4-4-2 with Mirallas/ Geri supplying Bony/ Lukaku against teams who may come to Goodison to defend could make a massive difference as for years this has been one of our main struggles.
  17. Think he was referring to our player of the year Gareth Barry.
  18. Everyone's in agreement that his stock has lowered from how good he was in the first season. That's why a large majority would sell now at £24m whereas most probably wouldn't have 18months ago. It happens.
  19. £24m is being talked about. After his 1st season - no chance. After his 2nd season - it wouldn't be the end of the world but I'd rather keep hold of him. After last season - snap their hands off. I'd love him to become the first season James McCarthy but if Koeman doesn't see him as a player he wants and at £24m then it could be a good deal for all.
