  1. Great gesture... does he deserve it? Not a chance but what a chance for the lad.
  2. Anyone notice Ibra chase Niasse down the tunnel trying to make sure he got his shirt at the end?!
  3. I'd only want him if Jags leaves as we'd look very light at the back if Williams got injured. I'd be happy with another one of our young lads playing alongside Williams but think we need another more physical player or someone with a little more know how in the event that Williams were to be injured or suspended. I think CB will be a priority in the summer.
  4. I'd have him as back-up only. He doesn't look the part but I've actually been quite impressed by him recently. I remember him being touted as a top prospect a few years ago when at Sheff Utd. If we were to get rid of Jags this window then this wouldn't be a bad option in my opinion at around £6m max. I love his marauding runs from the back reminds me of a young Craig Short!
  5. No one, hence why all links must be taken with a huge pinch of salt. Official now anyway... https://twitter.com/watfordfc/status/824670302877741056
  6. We're probably linked to 50-100 players in each window via various outlets, obviously we're not actually in for the majority of them. Sometimes it's the papers fulfilling their word count, sometimes it's agents/clubs trying to sell their player, sometimes it's us trying to take other clubs off the scent of our actual targets and obviously sometimes there's a genuine interest. In this case I'd say it's the papers just adding another team based on historical links. We are the easy team to link to a certain level/price bracket as we're rich and actively looking to strengthen this window based on what Koeman has said.
  7. By all accounts he's been very poor so doesn't sound like too much of a miss!
  8. He's such a bad defender. Decent strike and takes a good set piece but can't defend for toffee (and hopefully not for Toffees) - I'd be gutted if we signed him or were even linked to him for that matter!!! On another note I expect Moyes to move for Oviedo as soon as van Ahnalt is gone.
  9. Highly rated German winger supposedly. Seems an odd one unless it's loan to buy... that's if there's any truth in the 1st place.
  10. Exactly. I'd say Keane and van Dijk are the things that Koeman wants to happen but don't think either will be available until the summer.
  11. Koeman said that he will talk to any player that's not playing and discuss what's best for the future when asked about Jagielka. This seems very fair to me. I don't think Koeman will entertain this until we have a replacement anyway.
  12. You follow the laws of the country you're in - simple. If I visited a country where drinking alcohol was illegal I would respect that, I wouldn't go there in the first place but that's a side issue!
  13. Praise rightly earned... http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2017/01/22/barkley-adaption-impressing-koeman Maybe Koeman does know what he's doing after all.
  14. Wasn't Niasse in trouble for hitting his wife. That's disgusting.
  15. He shouldn't but it's a good problem to have.
  16. It's not stupidity, maybe it has had some affect but I fully expect Gana to come back and improve us further in February- after all he's been our stand out player up to now. Unfortunately, it seems you can't see past your dislike for Koeman and see this as the only answer when many have pointed out a number of other factors which have clearly contributed. Get over it and enjoy your last few months on the forum as Koeman is beginning shape this team and we're clearly moving in the right direction on and off the pitch.
  17. He's found a system that works. He's getting rid of players who aren't good enough. He's bringing in better players which is actually providing competition - players are reacting to this, see Baines' comments. He's keeping form players in. Missing players may have given others a chance but those players could have still fitted into 4-2-3-1 with Geri on the wing, Mori and Williams at centre back, Cleverley in mid. I expect we'll sign another 2 players before the window closes which will strengthen us further. This team is evolving into Koeman's - no question about it.
  18. He'll be a dream Big Sam signing - can see that happening.
  19. I don't want him but he's been class bar the last 18 months. A change may reinvigorate him. Man U have the most examples of 'shit' players who move on and they actually weren't that shit e.g Evans, Fletcher, Gibson (initially until injuries took over again), P Neville. I personally think we need younger specialist cover for Coleman and hopefully we'll get Keane in the summer as cb competition for Holgate/ Williams replacing Jags and van Dijk to replace Mori.
  20. Holgate for me - I like how he brought the ball out of defence and surged forward on the goal. His general defending was solid too. His confidence seems to be growing game on game. Barkley bossed it but thought his final ball was poor yesterday. His shots seemed 'shot come crosses'. Although not involved with many goal scoring chances I thought Lukaku battled well, got in decent positions and generally kept their defenders busy creating the space for others - mainly Barkley.
