  1. Many wingers seem to do well in Italy. It's a 'slower' league than here so should there be no future here, then he's in the perfect place for us to maximise our profit. Haven't Barca got a by back at set price still though? If his value is say £20m it wouldn't be the first time Barca/Real have brought back an ex player for a pre-agreed low price to be sold on for huge profit.

  3. Got the assist in a 1-0 win for 9 man Milan.
  4. This seems to be bit of a recurring theme with Geri... http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-loanee-gerard-deulofeu-told-12571307
  5. I liked him higher up the pitch pressing their defenders - it's something Stoke have done with Joe Allen with relative success. Think it would work against teams like Arsenal (away) when they will want to build from the back and dominate possession.
  6. Rom... too easy for him today. Barkley was class too - really aggressive today, which I like! McCarthy did well too.
  7. He got it wrong today but he reacted at 3-2 and got us over the line quite emphatically! The line-up was plainly strange today - too many centre mids, Ross and Lookman both looked uncomfortable on each flank. Lookman needs to be used as an impact player or up top in a front 2. Koeman will slaughter the players despite winning 6-3... there'll be no 'phenomenals' today and hopefully that will spur us on to another win vs Middlesborough. Do that and all of a sudden this could turn into a very exciting season! We've got a brilliant set-up at our club... the future's looking very bright!
  8. He looked the best outfield player on the pitch to me. He played the deepest of what I presume was a diamond 2nd half and often dropped back between the centre backs when required. If Lukaku and Mirallas could have got their link up play/final ball to each other sorted we'd have won tonight as Schneiderlin, Davies and Barkley were playing some very good passes through the Stoke midfield time and time again - especially in the 1st half.
  9. Schneiderlin for me - so comfortable on the ball and has a great range of passes. Davies wasn't far off - he was just out witted on a couple of occasions by a very no-frills Stoke midfield. Obviously Robles too for saving us on a few occasions but also Williams - Holgate and Mori looked poor tonight; they needed Williams on a few occasions. I was there tonight - the wind (how very Klopp of me) seemed to be swirling and both teams were very narrow - especially 2nd half which made for a poor game overall. I think we needed to make the change as Crouch looked like he could win everything especially when he peeled off onto Holgate and Adam's balls in were causing havoc. Not pretty but a good point.
  10. I know Koeman said Galloway would stay but with WBA close to signing Wilson (a centre back who Pulis will play left back) I do wonder if his loan will be cut short. He may as well sit on our bench rather than their bench.
  11. Agreed. It helps that we've made the biggest signing of the window with Schneiderlin. Even Bill may have got some credit for that!
  12. This time last year we panic signed a £14m striker... that one didn't really work out! I'm all for 'if the right players aren't available we'll stick with what we've got and blood youngsters'. Players like Garbutt, Pennington, Robinson (highly regarded US full back), Walsh, Dowell and Duffus are now 1st team squad players. I'm all for blooding a few of these rather than some of the average players we've let go. These lads are used to winning - there's only one way to find out if they can make that step up. One thing's for sure, we're clear now for a busy summer of recruitment - all very exciting and positive in my opinion.
  13. Good assist from Donkor and top turn/finish.
  14. £14m for van Ahnalt would have been on par with wasting that on Niasse. He's an awful defender!
  15. Garbutt is back and I think we may bring Galloway back. I actually cling on to the smallest hope that Garbutt could be decent as a wing back with slightly less defensive responsibility.
  16. This one? https://twitter.com/watchedtoffee/status/825035038232297472
  17. I'd guess Unsworth and the staff at EFC know him well enough to have made this judgement. If they think it's okay then I'll trust their judgement.
  18. He'd be a great 1st hand example to the kids of what could go wrong if they don't make the right choices.
  19. Supposedly he's done a lot of work for EITC so probably how this has come about.
