  1. Fact is there's knobheads wherever you go. Young footballers/celebrities are prime target for these people. It seems Ross was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  2. While Barkley's doing this, Lukaku had a cozy night in with Pogba eating cake and watching football!
  3. He may stick about as a 5th/6th choice centre back here next season but I expect this bit of experience to put him in the shop window for Championship clubs. Maybe get a couple of million with a sell on fee.
  4. Covered more distance than any other player today - thought he was excellent today - his and Gana's energy ahead of Schneiderlin is a major contributor to our current very good form.
  5. Luckily Williams' suspension is only 1 match especially with the ariel bombardments of Burnley/West Ham upcoming. Regarding comparisons to Mori - there's no comparison. Pennington hasn't likely got a big future here hence why he's only got a 2 year deal unlike Holgate's and Davies' 5 year deals. Mori is obviously much better than Pennington but still nowhere near consistent enough to be a top defender in this league.
  6. I had 4-2 at 50-1 so got my money's worth and then some! (Only had £1 on it as spread the bet!)
  7. Agree completely - he (and Holgate) had very good games overall.
  8. Schneiderlin ahead of Jags. Ross and Mirallas deserve a shout too. Schneiderlin was so comfortable today - don't think he put a foot wrong. The combination of him and Gueye with Ross and Davies ahead will dominate most teams. If Schneiderlin is the calibre of signing we've got to look forward to this summer then we'll be alright!!! Jags needs a special mention, not for his goal or assist but for his leadership at the back. Back to his best the last couple of days.
  9. Only his 3rd or 4th start in the league - very much back-up to Walker. I think he'll be off in the summer unless there's a huge bid from one of the Manchester clubs for Walker then he'd be the perfect replacement at Spurs!
  10. That's not true though (maybe a couple of occasions - I know Matt has and regretted it too!!!) Haf generally leads the 'conversations' in this thread - he seems to go out of his way to find any piece that can put Lukaku down - god knows what time is spent finding all this but each to their own. He knows what he's doing and he loves it. Lukaku to Haf is what Bart Simpson is to Sideshow Bob.
  11. I can't see Leicester playing a full strength team for this one. They're all but safe now and have the chance to make more history away to Atletico 3 days later. On a side note - Walsh will know exactly what to expect now Shakespeare is in charge. It's their joint blue-print that has worked wonders by all accounts.
  12. Poor today but Valencia was literally our only other senior player available! I'm glad Koeman cleared the likes of Gibson and Oviedo out but we could have done with a couple more senior players in!!! Great experience for the youngsters I suppose!
  13. He and Barkley rightly criticised for not putting that game to bed. We should have finished at least one of those counters.
  14. I think Valencia would have been the best option to actually be a bit more responsible with the ball and help kill that game.
  15. It was Williams then Barry until Williams' rush of blood and Barry's poor clearance which ultimately cost us the 3 points so Jagielka pips them both for me.
  16. That's the thing - not many care if he loves the club. As long as he does his job which is playing well and scoring goals, which he usually does, then I don't care if he wears a Liverpool shirt under his Everton blue. He's one of our best players, if not our best player and with him we're significantly better. Anyway kick-off COYB!!!
  17. Where's the hypocrisy? I don't rate Mori - do I clog the Mori thread up with every negative I can find? No. Every poster has different opinions but when it get's to the point when actually a thread is being turned back to negativity over and over again then it gets very tedious. It puts good posters off posting and this forum is a lesser place as a result.
  18. Above is a fine example of why people find your input in this thread boring Haf. You've ignored the positives (ambitions to make history with EFC/ words about Coleman) and looked straight to where you can get a negative or dig in. This thread is most active when there's a contract dispute, comment in the media or he's had a bad game and it's you carrying it. This thread should be more a reflection of how important his goals are or how we've got one of the best young strikers in the world. I find it quite sad that someone would invest so much time in looking for flaws rather than looking for positives and actually supporting an asset of Everton's. I just hope he has a good game tonight so this thread can sink back down the list!
  19. I think Ryan Bertrand could be a decent shout for left back - been really impressed with him at Southampton.
  20. You're commenting on Lukaku not wishing him well on social media - nothing to do with their personal relationship. Lukaku no doubt wished him well - he doesn't need to do this on his official twitter or Facebook or instagram or whatever else there is just so his 1 million followers can retweet it. Call me old fashioned, but I think a personal one to one message holds more sentiment.
