  1. Can't see us wanting Giroud and Rooney - as I think we'll still sign Rooney, I can't see this one happening. I would be very happy if we did sign Giroud though - excellent striker.
  2. I think this will happen eventually but it will take a big helping hand from Man U (e.g finding a settlement on the remainder of Rooney's contract) to push it through.
  3. Watching Italy u21 vs Germany u21. Both teams have so much quality - stand out for me is Bernardeschi - plays for Fiorentina - looks like he's got everything. The last 4 will be Italy vs Spain and England vs Germany as it stands. I think we'll get beaten quite convincingly but Italy vs Spain promises to be a brilliant game.
  4. Probably have a cold shower and large brandy first - it'll help.
  5. Have you watched him play? He's very, very good. You do understand he's only £5.2m because Malaga signed him on a free after he walked from Barca? The minute we sign him he's instantly a £20m-30m player as that's what the market is currently. If this was a big money deal where we're being bent over then maybe but actually this is rarity in the current market and it seems we've beaten off competiton from top teams like Sevilla, Atletico (okay they had their hands tied somewhat) and Juventus.
  6. Players are back in a couple of weeks - players who have been in the u21 will get another couple of weeks probably. This will be resolved either way in a week presumably, once the tournament is complete. Wait another week to complete what seem formalities on a £5.2m deal for one of the best performing strikers in La Liga last season? Bloody hell Everton - fuck this one off and get the next Niasse for £30m!
  7. But can they if a release clause is met? Maybe it's something to do with what they owe Sandro - I just want this done regardless!

  9. Presume this is the chap https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luan_Vieira Linked with a few - Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs.
  10. He said he's concentrating on Spain - maybe he's telling the truth.
  11. Nothing we could do about that though with us agreeing the release fee. Supposedly, we'll get a percentage of any sell-on fee now. Geri's long term future was never here in reality with the clause in his contract.
  12. Just read Bill's comment and was about to post this myself!
  13. He's got a very similar first touch to Lukaku... watch out if we sign him!!!
  14. Coleman with Williams and Schneiderlin as vice captains.

  16. I hope he smashes Nev's record and goes on to win more trophies than Nev did in doing so!
  17. Saw that... Pickford Thursday then?
  18. Everton scout admits Bacca and Zapata 'interesting'Everton scout Carlo Jacomuzzi admits Carlos Bacca and Duvan Zapata are "interesting" but the path to Dries Mertens has "now waned". A top-level Toffees delegation landed in Milan on Wednesday for a series of meetings with Serie A clubs, including Fiorentina and Napoli as well as AC Milan. Director of football Steve Walsh was pictured with Italian scout Jacamuzzi ahead of talks with Milan officials, which were expected to be about the fate of Gerard Deulofeu as well as potential signings. M'Baye Niang has been linked to Everton recently but it seems as though Colombia hit-man Bacca could also be an option as he no longer seems to have a future at the San Siro. And Jacomuzzi mentioned the names of three Napoli players in a chat to Radio CRC while also divulging that talks with Fiorentina were on the cards. "Bacca and Zapata have interesting profiles, but [a move] for one would exclude the other," he said. "These days we will talk with AC Milan, Fiorentina, Napoli and other teams - we'll see if anything happens. "We followed Dries Mertens and had spoken to his agent but that idea has now waned. Faouzi Ghoulam? Another dead end - he is now staying in Naples. "The 25million that [Napoli president] Aurelio De Laurentiis asks for Zapata is too high, however everyone has the right to ask for what they want. "This day we will have talks with several Italian teams, we talked with Milan, then we will also talk with Inter and Napoli. "He could be an ideal player for the Premier League."
  19. Don't worry, you can go back to being a miserable c*nt if these deals don't get over the line!
