  1. Agree - looks good in short bursts. Brings much needed energy as an impact sub.
  2. No squabble required, just a bit too predictable from you... others have wanted Koeman out for a while but didn’t feel the need to highlight that.
  3. Behave... gloating after ‘our’ team has just lost! Yeah, Koeman should be gone but many, including myself, gave him the benefit of doubt with the summer of change and horrible early fixtures. Show a bit of class... it’s not about you.
  4. That's an indicator to show he's doing well. The minute he goes through a lean spell (if he does) then it'll spark into life.
  5. I'd like to see... Mirallas - Davies - Gana - Vlasic ----------------- Sigurdsson ------------- ------------------------DCL-------------------- I'm not a huge fan of Mirallas but just think he'll feel he'll have something to prove which will be to our benefit. I'd have Lookman on the bench and be making sure he gets game time. We need to play 4-5-1 and stick to it for 9-10 games - yes we're over stocked in positions but make players earn it rather than fitting players in that don't fit. Get the set-up right and the right players will pick themselves.
  6. Short term, incentive stacked contract with Unsworth by his side...
  7. Agree but DCL needs to finish at least 1 of his chances. We shouldn't have allowed that situation where we got pegged back but if DCL is more clinical - we win. Not getting on his back as I really like him but he needs to be more clinical - that'll be the measure of if he ever becomes a top, top striker.
  8. I was one - happy to sign him as he's a quality player but clearly not what we need/needed. £45m worth of wingers, even with the other players we have, could have been much wiser acusitions.
  9. Pretty much where I am. It's a shame as I think we've signed some brilliant players but for either a system that clearly doesn't work or for a system that clearly doesn't exist. I don't see us making any decision imminently but do see failiure to get past the group stage as a potential trigger.
  10. I really don't understand why we bought him. Hope I'm proved wrong but I really don't get it.
  11. Well we've nullified that luck by fluffing our 'gimme'.
  12. I didn't go despite having auto scheme on my ST... waste of £20 but a massive positive not to be tackling the M6 after watching that shite!!!
  13. Back to back wins vs Lyon (or at least 4 points) or we're out of this!

  15. He's had a lot of stick recently but I thought he had a solid game today. Holgate had a couple of wobbles so was important for Williams to prove his worth.
  16. Koeman deserves the stick he's getting. Hindsight suggests the summer dealings weren't as good as early business suggested and has left us with an imbalanced squad which has impacted on what's been a very poor start to the season. Should he be sacked? Not in my opinion but I appreciate animosity shown towards him. His stubbornness is a negative but he's brought Niasse back in, left the door open for Barkley, kept Mirallas in contention, etc - he's maybe not as stubborn as some would criticise him for. Long-term, Koeman et al are laying some very solid foundations... Pickford, Kenny, Holgate, Keane, Davies, Klaassen, Lookman, Sandro, Vlasic, DCL, 'Barkley' are all in and around the first team and he's giving them plenty of game time - add to that there's currently 8 (?) players on-loan at Championship level (plus Onyekuru). We've replaced and promoted players to u23s too. There's plenty to be optimistic about - Koeman may not be the long term answer but, to me, we've progressed from the moment he's been in charge.
  17. Just as the market inflates to crazy levels... typical!!!
  18. Most saw through this anyway... gave the likes of Watched Toffee something to get excited over for a few days though!!!
  19. His 'mistreatment' has earnt him cult status... he may not have got the leeway had it worked out differently - the increased support because of the negativity may actually help!!!
  20. Well done Oumar... go and prove us all (bar Palfy) wrong now and become a real striking option! ?? Reason for edit: Palfy doesn't like being pigeon holed.
  21. Don't think he deserved to come off as was linking up well. Deserves a run of a few games now - hopefully in what will prove a more profitable run of fixtures!
  22. He looked lively today - he's looked out his depth recently (along with the rest of them) but today's performance was real positive. Played with more freedom - more reminiscent of what we were seeing last season.
  23. Fine margins again... if Williams doesn't make that 'pass' we're still bang in it. 4-0 was harsh but we've got to do much, much better. Williams actually had a decent game up to that point - it's basics though and that shouldn't be happening. We need to take the Sunderland game very seriously and hope we can go into Bournemouth with a bit of confidence.
