  1. Maybe language barriers played a significant part.
  2. Supposedly, he was the driver! They were all too pissed to get served in McDonalds so sent the driver in and Gaz Baz jumped in the driver’s seat and off they went!
  3. I wouldn’t rule out a return to Villa for him if they come back up.
  4. Not looking good for West Brom and Stoke - I have good friends (and a WBA supporting father-in-law) which support both so don’t want either to go. I must have picked my mates wisely as, however shite we are, we’re generally better than West Brom, Stoke, Wolves, Villa, Forest and Leeds who my closest friends support... there is, as usual, the token Kopite but he’s a typical been there but once, wore Chelsea shirts when they got good, ex-Villa STH, so his opinions don’t count.
  5. I don’t think there’s any scenario where Allardyce stays. I believe it was the plan all along to give him 6 months - the problem being he wouldn’t take a 6 month contract so we’ll have to pay him off 12 months - with the amount we’ve invested, that’s a drop in the ocean. Sam was brought to steady a rocking ship - he did initially and, despite a poor run, has and will probably amass enough points to give us a top half finish. Would Koeman or Unsworth have got us enough points? Probably but, at boardroom level, they had to weigh up the risk of not achiving that as missing out on the Premier League millions ruins everything - so go with Sam who has a CV boasting great success in what we needed short term. I’ve not enjoyed him but he was a safe short-term option.
  6. I didn’t boo him but was annoyed when it was him coming on for Gueye rather than Tosun or DCL for Niasse. Then it turns out it was a forced change due to Gueye’s injury so que sera.
  7. Sat by a group of lads in the Taxi Club saying Kenny will get fined if the club find out. As it coincided with the line-ups being announced, I presume they were referring to him sharing info and it getting out.
  8. Most La Liga players have a very high buy-out clause - many are sold for millions less. I don’t know anything about him but to spend 40m Euros on a player they bought for 400k Euros in the summer would be a huge risk.
  9. Sacked after kicking a fan in the head. I actually thought he was still banned and for much longer too.
  10. We made 3 tackles that half - all by Gueye!
  11. That would have been a TT first - someone coming out in the match day thread. Save it for next week maybe - we’ll all support you!
  12. I cannot for the life of me understand why he wasn’t sold when offered £20m last week.
  13. Will offer nothing going forward as he’ll cut back onto his right foot and kill off any rare attacks.
  14. Park the bus and try and catch them on the break with Bolasie and Walcott’s pace. It won’t be pretty that’s for sure!!!
  15. I think we’ll see a back 3 with Holgate and Mangala right and left of the 3. This may accommodate Garbutt at left back. I don’t think Seamus will play today - think he’ll be saved for next weekend.
  16. There’s so much I have become disillusioned about of late, so much so that I’ve lost a bit of my love/passion with all the money/no ‘connection’ with many of the players but Seamus just epitomises everything that’s great about our club. He’s the kind of player that makes me proud to be Blue and I can’t say that about many of the current/recent lot.
  17. Our most important player/character - thank God you’re back Seamus!
  18. Good move for him... hopefully he’ll come back refreshed and raring to go under a new Everton manager with a bit of vision. I’d prefer him to stay but what’s the point if he’s not going to play?
