  1. Can’t wait to see a montage of his finest moments!
  2. This won’t be confirmed until after Sunday - hopefully Sam will be gone by then and this will be the first part of a new look Everton.
  3. Exactly. Centre mid is, in my opinion, the ‘hardest’ position on the pitch.
  4. Gana has been more consistent, Gylfi has been the stand-out midfielder in my opinion and I’d say Rooney has had more important performances than Davies. I’ve been disappointed with Davies this season but am not writing him off because I’m still a big fan.
  5. Evans is only 30 - he has at least 4 more seasons at this level. I’d see it as good business, especially if Williams goes and with Jags not getting any younger. I’d want another centre back in addition to Evans - a natural left footed athlete - I really like the look of Boly, who Wolves have had this season, but not sure if it’s been the level he’s playing at which has made him look so good as previously he hadn’t done a lot.
  6. He’s stronger going forward but I see him as a centre mid who could do the lot - he’s so big and physical just needs to work on the ‘defensive’ positions.
  7. I’d go all out for Loftus-Cheek this summer. I personally think he’s got the lot and could easily develop into a better all round player than Barkley and maybe even Alli. I think he should go to the World Cup despite missing so much of the season. Can see him moving on with Chelsea buying so many players in his position - just hope we’re in for him.
  8. Exactly - Sam will be loving this and, even though it’s Everton and he’s making my blood boil, fair play to him because it’s working. He has no emotional connection to the club - he knows he’s only got 2 more games before a huge payout so is having a bit of fun! He won’t lose sleep over a few fans booing and chanting at him nor will it blight his CV as, on paper, he’s done what he was brought here to do - we will remember the dour displays but others won’t and, if Sam decides he wants another job, he’ll probably have plenty of offers.
  9. I’ve not read it myself but supposedly Allardyce admitted to winding West Ham fans up in press conferences when he knew he was leaving (before it being officially announced) in his autobiography. The 7th/8th comment can only be history repeating itself - goodbye Sam
  10. He is the big name (although they’ve all got pretty big names!) for his nation’s first World Cup - he simply must go. For him not to have that opportunity could completely change his attitude/motivation on a football pitch. He’s earned the right to make history with Iceland - that should be his only focus and I’d hope EFC are to doing what’s best for him to ensure this happens as it probably is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
  11. I want Gylfi fully fit for the World Cup - getting that opportunity with Iceland is incredible and he deserves it. I know we won’t, but don’t want us risking him unless he is fully fit - for him to miss out on that opportunity would be really hard for him to bounce back from.
  12. I like Kennedy a lot - puts good crosses in early - doesn’t fuck about with beating his man 6 times. In Tosun, we have someone who could thrive off this service. I like Kennedy’s defensive work too - him and Sigurdsson could get us press teams higher up. Don’t think we’ll get him though!
  13. Villa are the ‘main’ team where I live - I know loads of Villa fans - many season ticket holders. All big fans of Gana.
  14. I did wonder how long it would be until this appeared... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/953144/Arsenal-news-next-manager-Paulo-Fonseca-Arsene-Wenger-Everton
  15. I never read beyond Garth Crooks... he’s an absolute dick!
  16. Haven’t seen much of him this season but liked him the previous 2. I wanted him last summer but, then again, I really wanted Keane and we all know how that’s worked out.
  17. A lot of EFC linked journalists saying take Allardyce’s comments today with a pinch of salt. Toying with fans with plans for the summer - his plans should be an extended stay in Benidorm after his severance pay from EFC.
  18. He’s 29 - unusually peak of career age. Resale value wouldn’t matter as he’s a free.
  19. If we sold Schneiderlin for say £20m and replaced him with Ki for free then that’s good business as don’t see too much difference in quality and similar age. Don’t get me wrong, I want better than Ki moving forward but he’d be a very capable squad addition.
  20. Let’s not forget Big Sam knocked Liverpool out of the imaginary Bisto sponsored Champions League on away goals... sure Zidane and Heynckes have got Sam’s number saved just in case.
  21. Seamus - would have been 1 point rather than 3 if he hadn’t read the game so well at the end. Gana, although wasteful in possession at times, did a great job and Schneiderlin looked calm and composed once again. Another game I didn’t enjoy but would rather be bored and winning than bored and not (we’ll be boring under Allardyce regardless!) I hope that is the final time (or at least penultimate) Sam Allardyce takes charge as Everton FC manager at Goodison Park - I can see us getting rid/making an announcement before Southampton visit next month.
  22. I’d expect a vast majority will say yes but if no please give reasons why.
