They will 100% sign his back-up, Butland, this summer and will have to pay at least £30m.
As soon as they do sign Butland, he’ll become England’s no.1 on the basis that he plays for that lot.
Don’t worry, this isn’t a rumour (just happens to be where this topic is)... just needed to put a BAH HA HA HA HA on here after the gobshite got dumped out of the play-offs after some shocking refereeing decisions - couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke!!!
The player ratings they give make him one of the worst. I actually think he’s been decent for Boro but he didn’t do a lot in either play-off game in my opinion nor has he done much to convince me in an EFC shirt. I wouldn’t be disappointed if we kept him should our next manager see something he likes but I also wouldn’t lose any sleep should he be moved on.
This site (first I found) has him down as one of the worst performers...

We’re in trouble if we don’t invest in starting cbs next season. I’d sell Mori and Williams (and Keane if we could get our money back) and start again.
No, loved what he did when was here for the most part but that was then, this is now - it’d be a completely different challenge and I don’t think he should even be considered.
Had to turn it off before my tv got smashed... it was set up for him to play the ‘poor old Sam’ card after doing an amazing job to get Everton to 8th - it was cringe worthy. He did say there is a meeting this week then he’s off on holiday but he didn’t say when exactly. Seen a couple of tweets suggesting the meetings would take place down in London where SSN studio is.
There’s a lot of tweets from fan sites/ ‘ITKs’ hinting at Silva. I’d be happy with this - liked what he did before we rocked the boat with Watford and got a tune out of a hopeless Hull but too little, too late. Did good work in the transfer market with both.
