  1. Sound - only been bothered looking at this page on basis he can cover left back then I'm ok with this.
  2. £100k a week is a lot to walk away from though
  3. Yet Tarkowski played against Fulham with a knock.... Branthwaite played second half and looked superb. Outmuscled gyokeres and had him in his pocket...... he was ready. Simple as that. Man of the match for many and tipped to start vs Fulham - but we know that doesn't happen.
  4. Ah the importance of premier league experience and all that? minteh has no prem experience and gave mykolenko a torrid time - wieffer another one..... hinshelwood only 13 appearances aged 19..... Fabian hurzeler had no prem experience and gave mega experienced Dyche a lesson. Dyche and his need for experience eh....
  5. Either he doesn't like the players brought in or he's not happy with the areas he's got gaps - I.e right back
  6. Branthwaite actually played the second half of the last pre season game vs sporting (before we opened against Fulham) last season and was arguably one of our best players - Tarkowski got a knock in that game and recovered but Dyche started Keane. Branthwaite had gyokeres in his pocket. Similar to what we are seeing now. Branthwaite was on the bench for the first two games of last season...... I don't believe for one second he was carrying a knock. He coasted through the game vs sporting and was dropped. If he was carrying a knock then why play him in a friendly the week before season kicks off?
  7. A manager with £80m worth of talent brought in (if you factor in the value of lindstrom) and only starting one of them after having them for pre season is a joke. we had gaps in the side - opportunities for new players to stake a claim. Did any of his favourites do well??? Young - no. Keane - no. Doucoure - no. he's a mind numbingly negative manager
  8. Spot on. Starting Keane cos "he had a strong pre season"........ what a load of nonsense! O'Brien was very good in the games I seen. As for Doucoure over ndiaye...... just ridiculous. Keeping him on pitch for second half was even more so
  9. Not necessarily - playing a defender with absolutely no pace has an impact on how others play or are set up to play. not buying this "Keane wasn't as bad as tarks" - tarkowskis performance is gonna be heavily impacted by who he plays alongside Branthwaite didn't need to bedded in when he came back from Holland, the branthwaite that played for Everton before he went to Holland was better than Keane
  10. Sadly for dyche he has strong form for selecting Michael Keane when better alternatives exist..... Mina was fit and he played Keane ahead of him till he could no longer excuse his mistake. He had branthwaite who has returned from psv and was highly regarded - he still played Keane ahead of him. he has favourites - he is stubborn and prone to doing the same thing over and over again that doesn't work.
  11. Why did he not even bring O'Brien on when young got walked and go to a back 3? Absolutely crazy. Ndiaye came on after doucs had a stinker for far too long and at 10 men what good is that? many fans think Dyche is making a point to thelwell.... I don't. He's just being typical dyche
  12. Not a penalty for me. Ridiculous on review - should have finished it
  13. No. The supporters of Dyche tend to do so on the basis that they think he can be more expansive if given the opportunity...... started the season with near all new signings on the bench. Unacceptable imo - Keane is never a starting centre half. People saying Tarkowski was worse? Debatable but you could ask the question "if you play next to Keane then how does that impact you" far too negative.
  14. Just seen the interview - "no no no" was the response to the question to qualify the answer. Which puts a different spin on it in fairness . Basically he was accepting that's what happens as opposed to wondering why
  15. When many paying customers leave early it usually indicates a bigger issue than "I want to get the earlier train or avoid traffic"..... yeah even when we win there will be people who leave but after an awful performance it's important that the manager gets the tone right. "It seems like the reality at this football club"........ churlish comment - it's relevant at many football clubs. He needs to remember that our fans have carried this team for the past few years.... sat through months of dross without a win. 1st game of the season - the fans with a sense of optimism, new signings and he plays Keane instead of a lad who looked good in pre season and who on his worst day could be no worse than Keane. Leaves it too long to make subs when it's clear Brighton have worked out his tactics.... nah - he's got this wrong. Southgateesque interview.
  16. Hasn't done himself any favours..... Dyche on fans leaving early...... "it seems like reality at this football club. If you're not winning and not doing well that's what happens." well dyche let's look at what could possibly make fans leave.... In 29 attempts Dyche has never won a game at Goodison where the opposition has scored, all 12 wins have come from clean sheets. So 12/29 win ratio and all come when opponents don't score. thats the "reality" you speak about dyche.....
  17. He isn't going to change who he is. That long spell of games without a win followed by the necessary summit at finch farm says it all for me. I anticipate a continued stubborn approach. A new owner coming in may light a fire under his arse.
  18. Personally I find his constant clowning and joking on training videos tiring. Non stop commentary on team mates who are taking drills seriously - it's almost as though he thinks it's beneath him. yeah I get the whole Phil Neville teachers pet thing can be cringey but I don't want a 39 year old bloke just picking up his last pay packets having won all his trophies making banter quips while Jack Harrison is focusing on his sprints.
  19. Surely you don't read that slow. Would take you longer to type that than to read mine.
  20. My point is - politicising / point scoring tragedies and looking at ethnicity of perpetrators is no different to what to the protestors are accused of doing. Yeah It's very easy to do because there are strong demographic correlations with regards certain crimes looking at both perpetrators and victims. These stats are fed to us - well some anyway. The reality is that criminals exist in all walks of life and from all backgrounds and cultures or countries - which the balanced amongst us will readily state. The problem is that it's on the increase - that's what people need to look at. Thats the big issue - forget the details as to who they are or their colour ....... look at the government - what are they doing? £10 a knife amnesty? Crime does pay I guess.... why not use the money to increase police hours and do more stop and searches. 3 police stations within 25 minutes of my house have been closed - one is now a pub..... so we have increasing population - increasing crime yet less police? meanwhile people are bickering over the demographic identity of the people committing crimes? If you have vicious dogs roaming the streets are you really more arsed about the colour of their coat and origin of breed or are you thinking "get the dog catchers out there"
  21. Thats good then....it means when he rips it up you'll be ecstatic
  22. Think it took about 6 months for him to stop playing centre halves at left back and put Baines in there.... in fairness Lescott did the role well but the point stands
  23. That's ridiculous. Should be £5m all in maximum
