  1. In order to break up all the awful posts above, here's for two in a row that are a bit more neutral. This happened in the town where I grew up. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dr-gridlock/wp/2017/07/14/overturned-truck-of-slime-eels-transforms-oregon-road-into-highway-of-nightmares/?utm_term=.90e089f00817
  2. Even though I've not been watching football for more than a decade, I do love what a throwback he seems.
  3. Wow. Two takeaways from said website: 1. Don't know why I always kind of assumed that there was no British equivalent to the wave of young, bitter, anti-feminist, Islamaphobic, white neocon movement that exists in far too much of the US. Sad to be shown otherwise. 2. Even that sad demographic doesn't like Trump.
  4. We kind of already have a couple. Thinking primarily Dowell and Charsley.
  5. Strangely, though I'm sure it helped keep me a supporter, Howard and Donovan had nothing to do with my starting to watch Everton. Only realized they were American after I had decided to support Everton pretty arbitrarily.

I still want a piece a pizza no matter what he pays ya. Probably one of those ways.
  7. Is it the same one he suffered toward the end of last season?
  8. That's a lot but not that surprising given the high inflation of perceived money influx to the league. Everybody thinks they have more money than they do. I'm sure this has been posted somewhere, but: http://www.espnfc.com/english-premier-league/story/3155266/premier-league-clubs-failing-financially-losing-an-average-of-876,000-per-day-study
  9. I felt the same until I heard about the domestic abuse.
  10. I don't think he's great defensively, but I also think you're talking about systems. You either play a true defensive 4, or you let your fullbacks or singular fullback bomb forward, and account for some defensive holes at the back. No fullback has it both ways.
  11. After you just signed Coleman to a lucrative extension, though?
  12. And to be fair, he shouldn't be. Just also shouldn't be starting in our goal.
  13. I agree with this. Sell him in the January window if need be but for now, Holgate is not a RB and Kenny is too young to cope with the demands of Europe plus league play.
  14. To my recollection, Suarez did pretty well as a physical player in the Prem, minus a biting incident or two, and are you really suggesting that Neymar and Messi, each their own supercharged mighty-morphin Hazard, wouldn't fare well in an English side? Not to mention Mascherano, Rakitic, and Alves, who are all plenty physical for their positions. I think you're delusional if you suggest that such a deep, talented side couldn't compete in the premier league because they're slightly undersized or lack the intense physicality that the premier league demands. They very much could.
  15. As long as it's better than the nightmarish haiku posts. Kidding, of course, haiku, though I also wish all your posts were in the form of haikus.
  16. This means nothing to me. Edit: and I intend no offense. Just that sometimes English across an ocean is entirely a different language.
  17. Does nobody take issue with the last bit of this? Surely Barcelona would slaughter in the Prem. I know it's hypothetical, but you're talking about a team that has, top to bottom, among the best players in the world at every position. Also, is that better for you Haf?
  18. Yeah not a big fan of how they consolidate power even more.
  19. I'll be a fan of them once we're considered big enough to put them in our own sales, though.
  20. To be fair, couldn't believe that was a response. You have problems with your eyesight there, haf?
  21. Do me a favor and take some Ritalin? One thought/subject = one paragraph. Or have the rules changed since the advent of the internet forum?
