  1. Not only was it a clear pen, but two of Watfords goals could have been flagged for offsides I thought.
  2. Played in two good crosses but otherwise looked very poor to me. Kept giving the ball away in our half.
  3. My lady's brother is in the Naval Academy out there, Austin. I'll probably be spending some time in the area within the next couple years. Welcome to the forum.
  4. Yeah I think Leicester look quite a bit better than us at this stage.
  5. Haha, I'd go with classic and understated, but sure.
  6. This translated from an article published Wednesday: "Before he decided to tie his destiny with Everton eighteen months ago, Shani Tarashaj shone in the Swiss championship. Not a weekend passed without the goblin lighting Grasshopper's offensive system. Since then, even if he has joined the Swiss selection, the Zurich has little time to express himself. On the one hand because the "Toffees" never gave him his chance, but also because his loan to Eintracht Frankfurt did not literally take off his playing time. Condemned to return to England this summer, the young man is not sure of finding what he is looking for. His leaders apparently think more of giving in again than to offer him his chance in attack." https://mobile2.tdg.ch/articles/598b0903ab5c37080a000001
  7. Agreed. Definitely doesn't scream Everton to me.
  8. Breaking Bad was nearly perfect. Boardwalk Empire up there for me as well... a show I wish I could watch fresh from the start again.
  9. I wondered this, too. Certainly has the build for it.
  10. I thought it was a relentless quest to prove he's correct about everything... not just Lukaku.
  11. Naismith was a very smart player, but his physical ability was always behind his mental awareness. Klaassen seems to be able to do what he means to do on the pitch; Naismith never did really. Not disparaging Naismith, but on one-touch passing ability alone, he already appears to be a class above.
  12. ESPN reported it over here. Generally don't report rumors unless there's some truth in them.
  13. I see your point and I mostly agree with the leadership part, but I think it's in a great athlete's nature to want to know what he can do, no matter if it's a team sport. He'll find out if he's the leader he and PSG think he's capable of being anyway.
  14. 1% seems low, given football salaries, but that's dope. A tithe that matters.
  15. Everton 2 - 1 Stoke Baines Shit. Just realized this season will be a lot tougher not picking Likely 90% of the time. Edit: sorry... Just forgot format. It's been a long couple months.
  16. What's wrong with wanting to know you can lead a team to trophies, though? I don't have a problem with him breaking up a super team slightly to see if he can do it without Messi and Cujo.
  17. I conveniently missed the half that you're talking about because they weren't when you said they were. Your argumentative acrobatics are almost impressive.
  18. Yeah it was a bit shocking how much Sandro was getting fouled and not a single card was given until late in the match. Did make me worry about how he'll cope with the physicality of the Premier League.
  19. But your point was that we've been toothless since Martinez' first season and that people in this forum have been saying so since then, and I just proved that's not true. Are you capable of conceding any point in the world, or do you just change the frame of the discussion so you look like you were never wrong?
  20. Great signing for them. Probably means Gray's moving on. But damn. Would've been nice here.
  21. Posted in the Europa League thread, but since you asked: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2017/08/03/blues-to-learn-playoff-foes-on-friday
  22. The funny thing is I did exactly that, and here's what I found: No posts from September 3, 2013 (the very beginning of Martinez' first season) until March 2, 2015 (the very end of his second).
