I just don't see why people would freak out about a vote so meaningless being made public. We're all posting in an internet forum about a football club; does anyone truly carry the illusion that their opinion matters or has any bearing on real life? I recognize that is probably a futile question to ask, because we all have the gall and pride to think that our opinions are worthy of sharing with the public, but why post at all if you are afraid of justifying your opinions? It's a goddamn poll about a player in a match in a season in a sport among hundreds of thousands of players in tens of thousands of matches in hundreds of seasons in lots of different sports.

Are we sure that was a deflection? I've watched it over and over and tried to see it hit Baines and I just don't think it did. That said, I both agree with Paddock and everyone else here. I am fully confident with him in goal, and I doubt any keeper in the world could've gotten to that shot with its movement and pace, but I think he might occasionally concede a goal that's fired at the top netting or near the top corner. Those are concessions I'm willing to make given how good he is at everything else.

Martina was absolutely awful for the first 15 minutes or so and only started to come into the game offensively after that impressive cross. That's still the only thing I remember him doing well. I do believe I watched this match in a different universe than you.

The man can cross, but I thought he was a massive liability defensively and kept playing into trouble otherwise.

Not generally a fan of giving motm for a goal alone, but as no one else really stood out and that goal was exceptional, had to give it to Sigurdsson. Pickford definitely second for the penalty save, but didn't have a whole lot to do otherwise.
