  1. Mason just ruining a perfectly good attack with that foul call against Lookman. Lookman was the one who got fouled.
  2. Sometimes I feel like I’m screaming into a void.
  3. Impressive save there. Maybe the best of the season. We’ve had 76% possession, which I doubt we’ve seen since the early Martinez days. We look really threatening, but once again just don’t have that final bit of quality. And that goal from Rondón was shocking.
  4. Hate to say it but we really do need a better right back.
  5. Don’t know why Siggurdsson shot that back across goal. He could have so easily just directed it softly to the right side there and avoided both the sliding defender and the keeper behind him. Also, 8 corners and only one has looked a threat. Digne and Siggy need to beat the first man.
  6. Lookman and Richarlison definitely our most dangerous and exciting wide men. Nice to see them getting a chance to shine in their preferred positions together from the start.
  7. Normally one of Gana’s biggest defenders... he’s been abysmal today. Siggy doing everything he can but once again we keep getting overexcited and leaving the ball behind us. We’re so close and we look a real threat; we just need composure in the final third. Can’t believe we didn’t score from the Gomes header still.
  8. How he conducted himself, though? Where is proof that he did anything worthy of moaning about?
  9. I really do think we have a chance even though Salah and Mane seem to be finding form again. I think for the first time in a long time we’ll have the advantage both defensively and in midfield; it’ll depend on whether we can frustrate their front three and whether or not, as others have said, we have a good officiating team. Salah and Mane are both calm heads, and I fear that if the match gets testy, it’ll benefit them far more than us. Where normally I’m all for scrappy matches against Liverpool, for once, I’d hate any of our players to get heated.
  10. Stek is very bad at goalkeeping. I’d far rather see Virginia in goal if something were to happen to Pickford. Don’t think we should get rid of Niasse, though.
  11. Pickford. Distribution a bit poor at times but made 3 very important saves that kept us in it.
  12. Happy to get a point there with the poor quality of refereeing in the first half and Morata being a complete prick. To Friend’s credit, he didn’t fall for Chelsea’s cheating tactics, but that needs to be more aggressively punished. We weren’t quite there in terms of quality, but we didn’t look too far behind them. I’ll take it.
  13. Probably should have been more cards, to be honest. His inaction for a couple of bad challenges have caused this match to be completely out of control, and, like Paul, I’m seriously worried one of our players will get injured by another reckless challenge unless Friend gets his shit together.
  14. This match is being dictated by how poor the refereeing has been. We’ve had a number of calls that should have gone against us as fouls, but they’ve had a number of calls that should have been cards. Some truly nasty challenges.
  15. This is absurd. Worst refereeing I’ve ever witnessed.
  16. Still disagree with the middle sentence. I’m a registered Democrat, but hate both parties and am only so registered so I can vote for the candidate in primaries that is least like the others. That said, yes, Democrats are extremely self-righteous and it is a problem. The party can’t keep invalidating the concerns of rural and Southern whites and their constituents can’t keep calling them stupid, even when they see that many of their views are rooted in xenophobia. Still, with the exception of a few social issues (gay marriage, transgender rights), I think you’d find it a challenge to demonstrate that Democrats have moved demonstrably to the left over the last 30 years. I sure can’t.
  17. That’s all fine and well, but the authorities should rule exactly the opposite as they have in those situations. That’s how legal proceedings work... you admit your guilt, you take a plea deal, and you’re better off for it. You cry innocence, are proven guilty, and you get fucked.
  18. I understand that there was a need for the electoral college before globalization. Anymore, it’s just a ruse for the right to continue their dominance by duping rural people into voting for them by appealing to the worst of their fears while fucking them over economically.
  19. That may be true but through the scope of world politics it clearly doesn’t pan out that way. Today’s Republican Party is to the far right of the party of Reagan even, whereas the Democratic Party has remained centrist in nearly all matters besides a few social issues.
