  1. To be fair, Richarlison actually played defense yesterday. Still don’t feel good about it, but he did put in quite the display against Wolves in the first match of the season on both sides of the ball.
  2. If he’s not going to get into a game like yesterday, I don’t think he’ll ever get in. But if this is true, we better not be selling Gana.
  3. I think that latter part is being fiscally responsible... not necessarily fiscally conservative. Fiscally conservative means you want to cut social services like Medicaid and Social Security, want health care to be a free market, oppose infrastructure and education spending, etc. Not believing in spending money on the wall is just having a brain.
  4. With City losing today to Newcastle, a win over Leicester tomorrow would put the shite a full 7 points over with 14 matches remaining. Goddammit.
  5. Gotta give to Pickford for those two saves. Davies and Tosun both great in the first half; Davies disappeared for a bit early in the second but showed some real grit in the final 20 minutes or so.
  6. Davies and Tosun played very well and deserve to start against Wolves. Pickford man of the match for two game-saving saves. Poor match overall. Defense was solid but still too many mistakes - both Keane and Zouma tried to give them a goal in those last two minutes with a poor pass and a silly foul. Otherwise we were pretty shit.
  7. Hopefully Baines’ injury isn’t too serious because we don’t have another LB in the squad. Looks like he’ll have to play a couple 90 minutes or else we’re going to look very lopsided for two and a quarter matches.
  8. Richarlison should never be taking that free kick over Digne and Siggy. That’s a moment we need a real captain to calm Richarlison down.
  9. He’s imposing himself on this half much more as the cog that links us in midfield. Much more what I want to see from him.
  10. They’ve come out looking much hungrier and more composed. Hopefully not a sign of what’s to come this half.
  11. That may be the strategy for this game, though I don’t think that is Gomes’ game. Would like to see him get on the ball and get it forward. He’s not solely a defensive player, and it would be nice to see a bit of involvement in the vein that we saw in his first few matches with us.
  12. The NBC sports broadcast is currently doing a vignette on what a great manager Sam Allardyce is. Officially never giving them my money.
  13. Not a bad first half. Tosun probably the brightest spark so far, although Davies has provided a lot of energy and even a bit of creativity going forward. Some good link up play all on the right side, including from Bernard. Other than the goal, Richarlison has been pretty poor, though he’s gotten back and defended with the same passion he did in the first 5 or so matches of the season for us. Keane solid though with a few hiccups, and Zouma has played great as sweeper so far. Siggy has been a bit industrious, but his end product doesn’t look there today at all. Gomes has been invisible. Should be subbed off for McCarthy soon.
  14. I’m not sure he’s capable of much else anymore sadly. He’s always defended well when he’s stayed back, but his final ball is now abysmal after never having been all that great. His best cross so far today was a zinger at Siggy’s crotch.
  15. He’s certainly bringing the grit and the drive that we’ve all been pining for.
  16. Not playing particularly well defensively but we at least seem to be defending as a team. On another note, I’ve got a shit stream with no replays, which is far more annoying than one would realize.
  17. Pickford Coleman Keane Zouma Digne Gana Siggy Lookman Bernard Richarlison Tosun Leave just Gana as a sitter. Subs: DCL and Gomes if we need goals for whoever is performing poorly from midfield. If ahead by two goals, drop Siggy for Mina and bring on DCL for Richarlison or Bernard to hold up play and protect the lead.
  18. Maduro is an absolute piece of shit but that kind of intervention (the kind the U.S. already made with oil sanctions) makes me incredibly nervous as it has gone poorly over and over again, resulting in dictatorships and even more brutal oppression.
  19. Agree to disagree there, only because it’s not really that clear at all. He doesn’t speak and it’s a dark video that only shows him in picture for 6 seconds with shadows obscuring his eyes. Is he probably fucked up in the video? Yeah. Does that video prove anything at all, including that he’s fucked up... not so much.
  20. The one I’ve stated multiple times with evidence? The one where we are a better defensive side with Gana?
