  1. He's 20 and played 6 times for Everton so I consider him new. Davies has been at the club for much longer.
  2. Some young South American linked: http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/chelsea/transfer-talk/news/liverpool-everton-target-keen-on-prem-move_289540.html
  3. Different look on the guy from a Standard Liege fan: He seems to like him. Edit. How do you show a tweet here? Even the link disappeared.
  4. I love how Evertonians give new players a fair chance.
  5. Eh, didn't Chelsea bid north of 20 million pounds last summer?
  6. Should get everyone pulses racing, linked again: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/01/08/report-everton-plotting-4m-bid-for-hull-citys-ahmed-elmohamady/
  7. Niasse on loan to Hull for the rest of the season. Edit. Seems to have been reported in Sky Sports: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11714/10722768/oumar-niasse-set-to-leave-everton-for-hull-sky-sources
  8. Well he did, didn't he? He'll be a millionaire before his contract runs out.
  9. Let's hope not. When ever someone is the next someone else they fail.
  10. And here's the obligatory Youtube video:
  11. Lookman confirmed by the club. Four and a half year contract. Initial fee 7,5 million. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2017/01/05/everton-swoop-for-lookman
  12. Apparently Nice is close to securing a loan for Depay.
  13. Could you talk more about food on this thread about Koeman because it sounds so interesting?
  14. Didn't he recently sign a new contract?
  15. Problem with Ross is simple: where do you play him? He's clearly not good enough to build a team around. He's a strong runner with the ball, has an excllent shot and is physically strong. Unfortunately he doesn't really dominate the game like he should given his size. He should win many more contests. He also too often seems to lack focus, like first period against Hull. His positioning is also suspect so you can't really trust him to be in the right place when opponents have the ball. So at a minimum he has to learn to be mentally ready every week, all game. This is something no-one else can force him to do, or even teach.
  16. Our midfield simply doesn't have the personnel to do that consistently. It's easy to talk about Spurs but let's not forget they have spent years buying and selling. Last summer alone they bought four players with a combined fee of about £70 million. And they have been able to buy personnel to fit the style. Do you really think Pochettino could play the same style with current Everton squad?
  17. What do you think the attributes of this team are? Me, I can see a mismatch of players with no consistent idea.
  18. Leicester had most of the pieces together by then. How many players did they sign that summer? Kante, Huth, Fuchs and Okazaki were the important ones because Pearson and his backroom staff had done a good job. Mahrez, Morgan, Vardy, Drinkwater etc. were there already. Leicester clicked in the spring before last season rather than being the clusterfuck Everton was last spring. More importantly, many Leicester players played the season of their career last year, how many has for instance Vardy scored this season? Mahrez was the best player in the league last year and those two won so many matches for them. And look at Kante and what huge influence he has been at Chelsea this season. Gana despite so far being our best player is nowhere near his level (I hope he is at some point). Huth and Morgan are a no-nonsense pairing that actually win most headers. And football is quite a lot more complex than Ped seems to think (haven't watched the video). You are free to watch matches as you like but just because you can't see the finer details doesn't mean you can go tell everyone how simple it all is. If it's that simple how come Leicester is the first "small" team to win the PL? Blackburn spent heavily and apart from those two there aren't a whole lot of teams that have managed it.
  19. Wow, so criticising someone after half a season in charge is "intelligent"?
  20. Pochettino has has plenty of time and money to implement the style so the comparison is not fair.
  21. I have been quite disappointed with Cleverley. I though he was a shrewd signing having played so well under Martinez earlier but he has never really kicked off. He seems to have goals in him but still he never produces. And he has good technical ability, but he never seems to do anything productive with it.
  22. Because he thought he's the best choice? Sent from my Lenovo TB3-730X using Tapatalk
  23. Plus we will only have two wingers after Jan if Deulofeu leaves. So there's space for two wingers. Sent from my Lenovo TB3-730X using Tapatalk
