Agree with Newty there. RS struggle when opponents play deep and deny their forwards space. And especially if they loose Coutinho to Barca they will lack creativity. It does look great when opponents try to play high, like we did under Martinez.

Klaassen can also rotate with Gana while Sigurdsson might be able to play LWB when Baines needs a break (team would play 3-5-2).

Main issue is that the players we have signed and are most strongly linked with (Sigurdsson and Giroud) are not very quick, apart from Sandro perhaps. The assumption being that they will be first choice rather than Mirallas and Lookman. Team composition is definitely different from that lot's, we are not going to play in a similar style. Counter-attacks won't be as devastating. On the other hand packed defenses make pace much less effective and to me it looks like this is something Koeman is trying to build against. Both Sandro and Rooney are good at shooting from distance and Sigurdsson is one of the best set-piece takers in PL and also good from the range.

They can't play every match if we qualify for group stages in the EL. With cup games we are looking well above 50 games for this season. 38 league matches, 2 EL qualifying matches, 2 EL knockout matches, 8 EL group matches, 1 League Cup and 1 FA Cup is the minimum in that case. I would hope there'd be at least another 5 or so games on top of that (or we have a crap cup year) so it could be closer to sixty games - and with good cup runs it could go above that. What if we go far in the EL and are still in the hunt for a top four spot come April? On top of league matches there could be four EL matches (quarter and semi-finals).

With Suarez you have to accept shit will happen. He will try to hurt someone, or at least chew them.
