Then how come we have less than seven players? Kenny, Davies, Rooney, Barkley, Baningime, Anichebe, Duffy, Mustafi. That's eight (those are all listed as Academy graduates at evertonfc.com).
Has Martins improved immensely, because he was a bit shit a few years back. And Dost looks like a donkey. Plus allegedly he has a poor attitude. I'd look at Bruno Fernandes and their right wing, Gelson is also quite tasty (not sure we need a player for that position, tho).
Interesting player. Huge potential, only downside is he's pint-sized. And maybe the fact he plays the safety pass too often. Good passer, tenacious, great body control, good dribbler. And at a great age.
You mean the youngsters? Why sign a manager like that? I think Brands clearly stated that any new managers must give the youth a chance, so that's the sort of managers he will be looking.
That should have been Walsh's job. Hope Brands can actually plan ahead.
IMO, there are only two reasonable choices: sign a first-choice LB and someone who can play at LB but also other positions (RB, CB or LM) as backup or keep Baines as backup. My preference would be a CB/LB player considering how many CBs we should ship out.
IMO, it would be better to keep him for one more season. Get in a new first-choice LB with Baines as backup. Loan Robinson out for another season as he's apparently not ready for the big time yet.
Hasenhüttl probably out of that lot. Blanc and Enrique had the best squads in their leagues available. And I'm not sure Enrique's style would fit the squad..
Lozano out of that pack by a country mile. Looks like a future superstar.
Doucoure just told everyone he's not moving. And if we got Lozano there'd be no use for Richarlison.
de Ligt is one of most sought after young players in Europe right now. He's more likely to go someplace like Barcelona.
But the nice thing is we don't really need to sign a world class player to improve that defence. No need to shell out 50+ million on one player. Any half-decent defender would be a big improvement.
Brands should get Lozano from his soon-to-be ex-employer. Richarlison would cost a ridiculous amount, especially considering Watford are already suing us over Silva.
He has been dismissive of the fans the whole time. It doesn't really matter what the fans say to him, he's at a job to keep his fume to himself. Yes, we might be speculating unprofessionals but really, it's not the managers job to tell that.
Davies is nothing like Cleverley. Davies is absolutely not someone to rotate the ball around. The closest I think of in the current squad is Sigurdsson. But Silva has altered his tactics before. He's used 4-2-3-1 but also 4-3-3 and 4-1-4-1.
He has an infectious personality that can drive the team forward. He doesn't hide, even when things don't go his way.
Let's see what Silva can do with him. Not ready to be first-choice but especially with Allardyce's style his positive attributes are totally wasted.
