Tough spot for club and Ross. Question is does new challenge mean bigger club? If so Chelsea are the only realistic club in my mind. If not Newcastle and Southampton fit. Not sure about what opportunities he would be interested in abroad.

Can we pump the brakes?! We tied a champions league side in a friendly three days after playing in f***ing Slovakia. Keane and Pickford appear to be worth every penny - tremendous talent.
-
Patience on the LB/CB and ST. Koeman surely waiting until Europa League progression. They aren't required (numbers-wise, we can argue talent elsewhere) if we don't progress. Also EL group stage gives him bargaining chip with potential signings. He clearly wants Sigurdsson regardless.

Yep, knew it. The retro kit is pure class. Works as a kit and as a shirt the fans can wear with jeans. I'm absolutely picking one of these up.
The whole range is class. I love the badge, I love the lack of gaudy sponsor logos, I love the simplicity.
I hope it outsells the home kit this season just so that the club and the kit designers get it into their thick heads that this is the sort of thing that fans want. Not some gaudy strip with colours that don't work together and stitched on branding accessories.
Agree wholeheartedly.

Swansea hurting themselves by delaying the inevitable. Sell him and get replacement/s, only 2 weeks before season starts

Scouring options in the USA. Can't locate anything. Any help fellow americans?

Seems he's forgotten that he doesn't talk about players at other clubs again
He was baited into that answer. When first asked he said he won't comment on other teams players. 5-6 questions later the reporter said swansea had officially confirmed a bid from everton which drew his second response. RK went about it open and honest...once again.

2012 FA Cup Semi Final squad
XI: Howard Neville Heitinga Distin Baines Gibson Fellaini MGueye Osman Cahill Jelavic
Subs: Hahnemann Hibbert Jags Coleman Stracqualursi McFadden Anichebe
2017 Squad (when healthy)
XI: Pickford Coleman Keane Williams Baines Schneiderlin Gueye Klaassen Sandro Rooney Bolasie
Subs: Stek Jags McCarthy Barry Barkley Davies Holgate
Lennon Besic Mori Dowell DCL Lookman can't even make the 18. At least Besic, Mori and Lennon would have started in 2012.
The progress, albeit with many bumps in the road, is amazing.
-
Only change I would make is having Sandro on the bench at least.
Should have clarified it's what I'm guessing the lineup will be - not necessarily what I'd like to see. Have a feeling Sandro and Holgate aren't deemed ready by RK. Complete speculation obviously.
-
With players at all different stages of pre-season any guesses on lineup?
Pickford, Sandro, Holgate just getting into the action. Martina joined last week. Difficult to guess the 7 subs as well - many left out.
Pickford
Kenny Keane Williams Baines
Schneiderlin Gueye Davies
Klaassen Rooney Mirallas
Subs: Stek Martina Jags Barry DCL Dowell Lookman
Left out: Besic Holgate Connolly Lennon McCarthy Sandro

At this point I'm hoping the club announce Grosicki or Bony to get us off this topic. This is turning into Rom thread II.

Wasn't sure where to post this as didn't want to create a new thread. Settled on this one.
Anyone else catch the Manchester derby? The kid Foden for City...holy shit what a player. Going to be keeping an eye on him for sure.

On a few occasions in recent memory a kit that has underwhelmed on reveal has improved once it's out on the pitch. This year's away kit is most definitely not one of them IMO. Really hate it.
Count the home kit among those that have improved on the pitch. Looks pretty good. Still don't get the dark blue panels but it's not as bad as it looks in a picture.

Granted it's FC Twente but Michael Keane looks like Gerard Pique. Looks a big talent.

to be fair I think we was going to spend big regardless of Rom's sale, it just so happened to be he has gone when we have spent money.
I tend to believe this as well. Getting 47.5 for Stones last year and 90 for Rom is as impressive as our buying - if not more. We should celebrate our success in the window whether we net spend or not. If the money isn't invested in transfer fees it will be invested elsewhere...like that small project taking shape down at the docks.
Every window our only goal should be to become a stronger team. Would anyone on this forum say we haven't accomplished that goal this summer?

And to be fair, he shouldn't be. Just also shouldn't be starting in our goal.

Niasse gets a number. Nothing for McGeady, Dowell, Leandro, Pennington, Grant, Tarashaj, Garbutt.
Expect McGeady Leandro and Tarashaj to be sold but what does that mean for Dowell/Pennington/Grant/Garbutt...loan or sold?
