Expect the away kit to be released prior to Wigan game. We're playing at the DW and their blue and green of course so unless we're playing shirts and skins or wearing training tops seems like we should have an away kit by then.

Reports that Ethan Ampadu is going to head out on loan. Lampard also recently said he does not need new players to be successful.
Looking less likely everyday...
Hoping Brands levels up from magician to grand sorcerer.
Agreed. More or less nail in coffin this. They still have Rudiger, Luiz, Christensen and Tomori (who Lampard loves) but they still need one more given CL football so Zouma almost certain to stay.

Does Gana take a break after AFCON or come straight back in? Any break would surely rule him out to start the season as he wouldn't be back until a week before the season starts.

This should be more upsetting than it is. Somehow it was almost fun.
Everton found me in 06-07. Admittedly i forget most of the first few years so this is basically a team of the decade (2010-2019):
Mucha
Cuco Senderos Mangala Alcaraz
van der Meyde Drenthe MagayeGueye
Jo Eto'o Sandro
For the price AWilliams, Schneiderlin and Bolasie are nightmares but they at least contributed.
Also fun reminder Everton have whiffed hard on a number of youth players they paid decent sums for: Henen, Tarashaj, Leandro, Joao Silva, Francisco Jr., LJutkiewicz, Vellios

This is way out there but I do think Weston McKennie is premier league quality. He just signed an extension with Schalke but I'll be hoping next year (after Jonjoe gets in his ear this season to tell him how great Everton is) that he would consider a move to us and replace Gana. Selfishly, we're overdue for another American!

You not counting the re-signing of Gomes?
Yikes what a miss. Thank you for the heads up.

you're not alone, i am with you. the price they paid i don't think he is worth that. his body of work is too small for a price that large.
Agreed. Same way i feel about lookman. Anything over 20m sell him. He doesn't have a path into this team and is all potential at this point.

Not a signing, sale, kit or preseason announcement to speak of, but the new website is gorgeous!
Must have caught it at just the right time during testing because the website is back to normal. Whenever they do roll it out, it was really nice.

Delighted with this...
1. He didn’t want to play for Everton
2. The Russian league sucks, his ability is not good enough for PL.
3. 4 mil profit and sell-on clause. Amazing.

They'd just be loan deals.
For mirallas that’s fine he has no value but Bolasie and niasse could fetch 10 each. They’d be great game-changing players in that league.

Who would want any of them seriously?
The Turkish clubs would actually be good for all four of them. Perhaps Sandro has some value in Spain but not much.

Yeah i do as well, silly having to go and spend money on a player who will only do the same job as jonjoe, and play second fiddle to Coleman. !! Daft I say.

Personally would have preferred Kenny given the nod this year and Coleman be the back up.
Holgate is the backup. Good enough should the need arise. Can't see us buying a backup right back, terrible investment.

Absolutely perfect move for the club. 365 days from now we will know without a doubt whether we have a player worth keeping or not. A loan to a championship side wouldn't have answered those questions. Burnley wouldn't have either given their style.

PSG linked heavily with Ander Herrera. If they sign him do they leave Gana alone or do they want both?

Rooney didn’t do 10 years here. Why would he get one?
Sorry didn't know there was criteria. Thought it was discretion of the club.

Hibbo and Osman already done. Duncan the most recent. Who's deserving of one?
Jags, Cahill, Arteta, Baines (when he leaves), Tim Howard, Phil Neville, Rooney

Never been good at historical context so forgive me if this is hyperbole, but does this not seem likely to be the greatest window ever? And I don't mean just on newspaper rumors. There are a ton of huge names out there who seem more likely to leave than stay...
Hazard, Coutinho, de Ligt, Sane, Griezmann, our old friend Rom, James Rodriguez, Koulibaly all above 50% chance to move on.
Not to mention the less likely but still possible: Pogba, Bale, Sancho, Dybala, de Gea
And lastly haven't even accounted for Ramsey, Pulisic, de Jong, Jovic, Militao who've already moved.
Weirdness Abounds (or the Idrissa Gana Gueye Thread)

'DELPH NO GUEYE REPLACEMENT'
Everton boss Marco Silva has insisted the signing of Fabian Delphfrom Manchester City does not mean Idrissa Gueye is set to leave the club.
Delph joined on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be £9m on Tuesdayand is expected to compete for a midfield berth at Goodison Park after spending much of the end of his time at City as a makeshift left-back.
"Gana (Gueye) is still our player and, of course, if we lose Gana then we have to sign a player to replace him because you are talking about one player playing almost all of the games in our squad," Silva said.
"If it will happen then we have to replace him, it is not because we have signed Fabian Delph."
The fact he says 'if we lose Gana' means it's likely to happen. He is one of my favorite players in the squad, however i think selling to PSG is best for EFC and the player.
