  1. well there you go, that's what i get for not looking at the head to heads. I'm rooting for Hibs to win and beat motherwell, Would love to see stubbs do well in the SPL as well.
  2. i thought that would be the toughest one to impliment as well. I think the easiest and most beneficial would be the regionalization of the groups. would help to maximize gate reciepts and travel for supporters.
  3. why? Surely they will be Queen of the South in the first match, then agaisnt old Stubbs Hibs side could go either way. And against Motherwell I don't see why not. I could see Hibs or Rangers coming up.
  4. the article said that's Elstone's salary. 350k pounds a year.
  5. he's starting to make Gibson look dependable!!
  6. http://www.espnfc.us/blog/marcotti-musings/62/post/2424677/europa-league-could-be-better-heres-how-writes-gab-marcotti interesting ideas to improve the europa.
  7. i couldn't agree more! naisy had a great season, but he just doesn't fit our style of play. if RM decides to keep him as backup striker i'm fine with that. super sub and cup games, great. but he is worth some money now after a great season, so we should be smart and capitalize. sentiment is nice and all, but we have to be business saavy.
  8. terrible news. this might be the end of his time with us. by the time he's healthy again and back up to fitness we'll have made arrangements without him in mind. sad, i really loved his attitude and effort, thought there could've been a player in there.
  9. I'm sorry when I said second striker I mean second string. Like if lukaku doesn't start then it's naisy up top as the target man, that's where he wants and needs to be played in my opinion. Either that or sell him and get some young bloods.
  10. thinking more about this lately. Gone - Howard (Sold to MLS), Distin (released), Alcaraz (released), Hibbert (retires), Kone (Sold), Pienaar (sold) In - Keeper, CB (Backup cheap), RB (Backup cheap), Lennon (Signed from spurs), Januzai/Duelofeu (Loan), Striker (young prospect able to play first team) I think Naisy will be 2nd striker, osman is worth keeping around.
  11. it''s a bass player forum, there is a football thread with a bunch of brits, i'm the only everton fan. it was a wild ride while it lasted you know me to well
  12. on a bit of a hot streak with the predicitons. called the shite's loss yesterday, and on another forum today i said i could see leicester getting a positive result win or draw due to chelsea having nothing left to play for and being tired from the arsenal match. lo and behold it's halftime the foxes are up 1-0.
  13. yep he would have to drop barry for barkley though and that ain't happening.
  14. i know right? the 3 biggest teams could all be banned. honestly i applaud this action. it's great to see FIFA actually putting their foot down and punishing the big boys, gives me hope that more fairness could be integrated into the sport.
  15. i agree matt, loan to buy is a good idea. he will want to do well and paired with either mirallas or lennon that's a nice trio of wingers.
  16. great points matt, one other thing i would like to see is the changing of formations. in his first season we saw 352, 4231, 433, and 442 formations. some worked some didn't but agaisnt arsenal it was one of the main reasons we did a 1-1 and 3-0. he needs to experiment more just like rodgers does with liverpool. try a 343 as well maybe. we have some great players and unpredictability could be yet another factor that benefits us.

  18. Last time I was In London 2009 the work people I met with same thing. This pub this ale you Americans can't drink I'll fight you just cause you're bigger well a lot bigger than me I'm English ra ra. Felt sad for the guy really, his pals were the same way. Wanted to prove they could drink more whiskey and all that and wanted to have a rumble, i was twice his size (6'2" and 200 lbs) but he was drunk and said that's what they do. I'm guessing he is not respective of the entire population, sadly it's the experience I had In America alcoholism is an epidemic as well, but culturally it's not as accepted. No liquid lunches here, if I showed up to a work lunch and ordered 1 beer id probably be fired. Also the bar on the way home from work that is the stereotype of English men and it was big with 1950's American men, but not today. Everyone goes home after work for the most part. Might drink at home or go out, but I don't know anyone he hits a bar everyday after work unless they are an alcoholic, it's wouldn't be considered normal.
  19. really hoping spurs pull that last champs league spot away from man u and liverpool.
  20. i've got my money on hull today. that liverpool lineup looks weaker every week. glen johnson? back from the dead huh. ibe is starting again as well. for all that money they spent i think we have a better bench no doubt.
  21. right on. so you have the same prediction as me then, you're in good company i would like burnley to stay up as well but i don't think it will happen.
  22. mike and pad you guys realize burnley is bottom of the table and has played an additional game to leicester and hull who are both above them right? not sure where they get the points. qpr i get, but leicester has a game in hand and isn't bottom 3. what say ye?
  23. Well we've got the championship promotion almost sorted, how about bottom three. Sunderland QPR Burnley Hull have a difficult run in as well but I think they have more quality and will make it. Villa have the easiest run in so I think they will be fine.
