  1. I don't like this newly leaked one. I'm hoping it's fake and that the black and blue away design is legit.
  2. Audible history of the club now on the radio: http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/how-to-listen
  3. Nicholas Veevers of the FA says tomorrow's game against Uruguay is behind closed doors but they put something up on FA TV (hopefully a live stream).
  4. http://news.sky.com/story/1104125/tourist-bus-sinks-with-30-people-on-board 30 people on board, no fatalities.
  5. http://www.snopes.com/photos/crime/parkbody.asp
  6. That John Lundstram diary says that England are playing Uruguay U20 tomorrow.. I would have thought a broadcaster would have picked that up.
  7. It's only to replace Heitinga in my opinion. EFC just want to ensure we have someone in before selling, it's only sensible.
  8. I don't think it's on ITV, just Eurosport. The live match schedule can be found here: http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/search.shtml?query=Live FIFA Under-20 World Cup The England games are: JUNE 23 19:00 Group Stage: England vs Iraq JUNE 26 15:45 Group Stage: Chile vs England JUNE 29 19:00 Group Stage: Egypt vs England Further games can be found at: http://www.fifa.com/u20worldcup/matches/kostage.html It's £4.99 to stream Eurosport for for the whole month if people don't have Sky. http://www.eurosportplayer.co.uk John Lundstram has started a diary from the competition on the official site: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/06/14/u20-world-cup-diary
  9. It's not confirmed that Nike lead the process, but the club have said they were consulted. Man city also changed their badge from being stitched into the shirt directly, to being printed onto a a fabric shield that's stitched into the shirt.
  10. Probably. Robert Elstone's not happy with how the press reported it; http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/06/14/ceo-angered-by-report
  11. This is what the Echo are saying about the payment: The Liberal Democrats' Liverpool leader seems to be unhappy with the situation: "If we are to make a profit from it, then we need to see report and there needs to be proper scrutiny of how the council thinks it can make a success of this." I'm inclined to agree with him, it seems strange that the Council had a tenant in waiting paying £1.5m a year and decided to lower the rent by two thirds (that's if the "Echo understands" theory is right), eating into their own profits - the reason they bought the site in the first place. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/incoming/liverpool-council-bought-finch-farm-4307879

    Hi

    Hello and welcome Bernie!
  13. http://www.footmercato.net/breves/info-fm-everton-a-l-assaut-d-un-joueur-de-nancy_107804 It says Everton are interested and Martinez has previously shown interest when Wigan manager.
  14. You're not thinking of leaving us like Moyesy are you Mike? Jermaine Beckford's been involved in Jamaica's World Cup qualifying campaign: http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/statisticsandrecords/players/player=367373/index.html They're bottom of the group with 2 points after 6 games. I can take credit for some of that, I asked him if he was eligible for Jamaica on an Evertonfc.com chat and before you know it, his name's in the Kingston newspapers as a possible recruit and eventually it happened.
  15. Do you think her knees are too pointy ? How old was 'Robb' at the wedding? 16 or so?
  16. He's quoted as saying he'd like to join Everton.. he says Everton is his preference even over Man Utd and Moyes is not a factor. http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=189653
  17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2339496/Manchester-United-Manchester-City-Chelsea-Arsenal-scouting-Under-21-championship.html The player himself says it's nice to be linked but he's taking it with a pinch of salt. http://www.nrk.no/sport/fotball/hevder-everton-vil-ha-johansen-1.11076193 Everton scout Brian King confirms the club are interested: http://www.nrk.no/sport/fotball/bekrefter-johansen-interesse-1.11076936
  18. Ryan Ledson is highly rated. He's 15 and has played for U21s a couple of times.
  19. I'm underwhelmed by the new generation of consoles. It feels so forced.
  20. This is what I would have said a few years ago, but the three upcoming seasons guarantee Everton at least £25m more per season than the previous three seasons. If Everton were interested, now would be the time to buy. Even if it's secured against 2014/15 parachute payments (should Everton be relegated in the worst case scenario), it'd be enough to cover the cost of buying Finch Farm. Also, the board have a combined 9 figured sum of wealth, they just don't want to be held personally liable.
  21. It's all here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/69456072/Everton-Training-Complex Are you going to the EGM StevO?
  22. This, rather than paying £1.5million per year, we are now paying an undisclosed amount and instead of it going to a private company, it's going to Liverpool City Council.
  23. Most of the media misreported it. Even the official statement that come out was misleading, read it and see if you get the impression that it's Everton that have sold Finch Farm. ToffeeWeb had the facts right last night. Finch Farm was owned by Hudson Capital Properties and sold to Liverpool City Council on May 10, 2013. At no point 'til last night did it become public knowledge. ToffeeWeb published a document from the Land Registry showing that Liverpool City Council were the owners. That forced people into action, Everton and the Council acknowledged it - despite being a month after the event, and the media has caught up and published it. Unfortunately, most use Press Association and they didn't give details as well as they could have and misreported things. It isn't a new year forty year deal, it's the existing fifty year lease. Liverpool City Council are able to borrow at below market rates, they have acquired Finch Farm using a 25 year old loan and it'll pay for itself as the rent is higher than their repayments on the loan. For example if Liverpool borrowed £13m at 3% and pay it in one lump sum, it'll cost £750k a year. They'd need to charge Everton more than that to cover their own back. For the Everton rent to be £500k, the Council would need to be borrowing at less than 0.01%. I think those rumours are nonsense. The Council told the BBC they will make "tens of millions" out of it. Joe Anderson, the Mayor of Liverpool and leader of the City Council has refused to make the details public and says it is a confidential commercial agreement between Everton and Liverpool City Council. What he did say was that Everton approached him to buy it for the Council and Liverpool City Council will benefit from it financially, even after reducing rent payments. I wouldn't trust Twitter rumours as a source (unless it's @ToffeeTalk!), there's all kind of nonsense out there.
