  1. I just put out a few tweets, I didn't realise just how much there is to cover. There's Destination Kirkby, Walton Lane, Langham Street, Kitbag/Nike, Finch Farm lease etc. And that's before the board give a yay or nay to future meetings. James Asquith, Chairman of the EFCSA tweeted @ToffeeTalk saying: "we're going to be there all night! Perhaps if we'd had 5 meetings over the last 5 years things could be covered in more depth?".
  2. It doesn't help that it's just rumours without names. Going from the ToffeeWeb link, Tom Hughes said he physically handed in his form to the club and appointed a proxy as he couldn't attend, the form went missing and it transpired that his proxy would have been Colin Fitzpatrick - the guy who spoke out against Everton's off-field management at a public meeting. I'm not sure of the identity of others. One of the three who met with Bill Kenwright in 2011 seems to be on the proxy list. It may just be someone with the same name. I don't know them.
  3. I think it's been lost in translation, Martinez became tired of the love-in between the board and told them to get "a room". They misheard.
  4. Have a look on ESPNFC.com archives, I can't access it (video is region-locked) but Martinez was doing the punditry for the opening Japanese game and he could have commented there. http://search.espn.go.com/roberto-martinez/videos/6
  5. I don't think it would to the General Meetings. That was just an extract from the minutes of the club meeting with the EFCSA. If you look at the link to Toffeeweb, there's a response from Tom Hughes. He says his response was misplaced after he had hand delivered it to the club. Like the Packers? http://www.packers.com/news-and-events/article-1/Packers-Shareholders-Meeting-set-for-July-24/4b720e4d-27ad-4fad-a2e9-d6b3da33d6f6 They do. The board members' shares are held in a company, those companies send the board members as proxies.
  6. When I went to the EGM, proxies were allowed to speak. I don't know about the legal intricacies of it. That was for a normal (non-EGM) event. The venue was moved from Goodison Park to Philharmonic Hall as the demand was too high for Goodison apparently, there was too much interest and not everyone would fit in Goodison's lounge. Sourced from: http://www.efcsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Minutes-Quarterly-Meeting-with-EFC-CEO-170513.pdf
  7. They would be proxies, not shareholders. This is from Dave Kelly, he's on the Executive Committee of the Everton FC Shareholders Association: http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/12-13/news/24990.html#439230
  8. I'm unsure to be honest, I haven't spoke to the guy for about three years. It's probably because he was a speaker at the Blue Union event last month.
  9. I thought that too. It must be the guy's name, the club require ID for people and proof of address to be able to get inside the building. Apparently two people have been denied access to the EGM.
  10. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/06/25/notice-to-shareholders? People need to get there well before 6pm, it says people will be denied entrance if the meeting has started. It's the first time that I've seen a list of proxies published. I recognise some from ToffeeWeb. Keith Wyness was on twitter a while ago talking about it, I'm not sure whether he'd turn up though - he is a shareholder and it'd be fascinating if he had anything to say. Sadly, I can't go. So I'm relying on StevO (via his dad?) for information.
  11. I'm sure the feeling was mutual between you and the fish.
  12. http://www.gofishing.co.uk/Angling-Times/Section/Videos/All-Coarse-Videos/Videos-Search-Results/Angling-Times-Interviews/Tony-Hibberts-Life-in-Angling/ He bought a Carp Fishery last year on the outskirts of Reims. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=49.385401,+3.667847&ll=49.38539,3.667889&spn=0.06336,0.169086&hnear=0x47e9ab86db60e1bf:0x815b9295f3cae25d,49.385401,+3.667847&t=h&z=13
  13. It's pretty much this in all but name: http://www.anfieldproject.co.uk http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/260m-anfield-regeneration-plans-revealed-4705912
  14. I don't know anything about him to be honest - only that he does the occasional piece of skill and it ends up on YouTube. I'm not too sure that Martinez's targets for Wigan should be the same as his targets for Everton.
  15. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfer-news-manchester-1985530 It seems to the be the story of his career, being brought to places to assist his brother. From what I understand, he's not that well rated by Spain and was poor at the South American Youth Championship where he represented Brazil after switching allegiance - Brazil were knocked out in the first round. That said, he did win the Toulon Tournament and Valais Youth Cup with the Brazilian U20 side recently. He's scored 19 goals in 83 games in the Spanish second tier.
  16. Saint Dominic died in 1221 and most people aren't even aware where St. Domingos F.C. got their name from (indirectly).
  17. The Iraqi keeper has been impressive so far.
  18. There's a free stream here too: http://www.fifa.com/u20worldcup/video/live/information.html
  19. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2013/06/22/4064916/arsenal-to-make-fellaini-second-offer-after-opening-70000-a-week-?ICID=AR Not sure how reliable it is, it claims he is joining Arsenal when he returns from his holiday.
  20. Are you sure that isn't just something she made up and told you when you caught her in the pub with a different man each week? :jump for joy:
  21. They're wanting to prevent UK internet users from watching illegal streams on the internet which is fine. The reason the sites are so popular, in my opinion, is because they offer matches at a time when the UK television doesn't because of their self-imposed rules that prevent games being aired between 3 and 5..
  22. It's in L'Equipe too, and that has credibility. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Everton-convoite-ecuele-manga/380234
