  1. I could see it happening, don't forget he played with Dennis Lawrence who is now part of the backroom staff.
  2. You can ask the BBC for it if you were a participant, they'll send it out for free. If you were a streaker, the chances are they won't. The official DVD is the same as the VHS for the most part.
  3. I've asked the website hosts to take a look at this. I've removed it once and it came back, it's probably something I've overlooked.
  4. All it is, is they're allowed to play friendlies, similar to the Catalonia football team.
  5. http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/organisation/news/newsid=2260043/index.html Januzaj is sorted then.
  6. Bond was never known for its gritty realism. The ending was Straw Dogs meets Home Alone. I watched Sherlock 'The Last Vow' last night, it was the best episode of the series but it was the worst series so far.
  7. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/11/everton-norwich-city-premier-league
  8. I've just found this interview with Martin O'Neill from December. http://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/transfer-news/martin-oneill-aiden-mcgeady-can-2945003
  9. I'm hoping it's three London teams, Fulham, West Ham and Palace.
  10. There's a joke doing the rounds that Martinez only bought Kone because he thought his Ivorian flag was an Irish one.
  11. If he sign a pre-contract earlier in the week, I imagine EFC are paying the equivalent to his wages at Spartak until the contract ended and a goodwill fee. I don't think it'd be anything above £2m.
  12. Who's name will be going on your shirt Ian; Duffy, Gibson, McCarthy, Coleman or McGeady?
  13. I tend to think of TT as a Democratic Republic.
  14. There was 4 years and 16 days between the day that the topic was created and the date he signed.
  15. There is an official history DVD - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Everton-The-Official-History-DVD/dp/B000U55UI2 But honestly, it's not very good. J A Corbett's review on Amazon sums it up for me. It was pretty lazily done and was a rehash of interviews from the 80s and others from a night out where you could hear plates being put down on the table in the 'background'. There's one called "My Everton" which is aimed at kids, it covers the basics but is recent-ism and covers mainly the players who playing at the time of the DVD's release. The BBC film Rubes mentions is now on Youtube. It was made in 1968. There have recently been a few unofficial (not made or sanctioned by EFC) made DVDs but I haven't seen them. Alan Ball Remembered (various EFC related people talking about their memories of Alan Ball) Thank god for football (which covers the early days and profiles the lives of the founders of EFC) There's also ongoing work into a spin-off sequel to the 1958 programme.
  16. It sounds similar to one I read a few years ago, "and did those feet" by Charlie Connelly. The author is an inexperienced walker, relies on his friend to choose equipment and sets out on walks that trace historical British events, in one of the chapters he walks from Norwich to London as Boudicca and her followers apparently did, in another he goes to Isle of Man to learn about King Olaf, in another he finds a monument to the secret queen of Wales; young girl was heir to the Welsh throne was kidnapped and placed in a convent in England. It's less than £3 here if you're interested. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0349120889/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
  17. STV journalist Peter Smith says he'll be 'unveiled' to the crowd today. http://twitter.com/PeterAdamSmith/status/421958541218680832
  18. I've just rented Endurance by Alfred Lansing from Overdrive. It's about Ernest Shackleton's expedition in 1914. I am literally only going to read it because of this image:
  19. When he's asked about South American scouting network, he sound surprised by the question. I think there's a South American incoming.
