  2. I don't. Last season there were 14 games televised and that was considered low on the low side because we were chasing Europe. This year there are 16 more league games to be aired in the television contracts, so I imagine it'll be a bit higher than that.
  3. Here is the season's scheduled live tv games and the corresponding facility fees (including March fixtures). Club / Number of times televised (Aug 13 - Mar 14) / Forecasted TV income Arsenal 20 £19.6M Aston Villa 14 £13.7M Cardiff City 7 £6.9M Chelsea 20 £19.6M Crystal Palace 8 £7.8M Everton 13 £12.7M Fulham 7 £6.9M Hull City 8 £7.8M Liverpool 22 £21.6M Manchester City 18 £17.6M Manchester United 23 £22.5M Newcastle United 13 £12.7M Norwich City 6 £5.9M Southampton 8 £7.8M Stoke City 6 £5.9M Sunderland 10 £9.8M Swansea City 12 £11.8M Tottenham Hotspur 20 £19.6M West Bromwich Albion 7 £6.9M West Ham United 10 £9.8M The above takes into account 126 of the 154 games to be televised. There are 28 more games to be televised in April and May that have not yet been announced.
  4. I found BT's games too, so a comparison can be made. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2013-14/jan/premier-league-live-uk-tv-fixtures-released-march-2014.html Team / Number of games televised Arsenal 3 Aston Villa 4 Chelsea 3 Everton 2 Fulham 1 Hull City 1 Liverpool 4 Manchester City 3 Manchester United 5 Newcastle United 1 Norwich City 1 Southampton 2 Stoke City 1 Sunderland 2 Tottenham Hotspur 4 West Bromwich Albion 1 West Ham United 2 Each time a game is televised it's worth approximately a million pounds (£980k) to the club.

  6. Galatasary is a huge club, certainly bigger than Roma
  7. Heitinga is in Istanbul. He's off to sign for Galatasary. http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/voetbal/buitenlands/22244286/__Heitinga_neemt_vandaag_beslissing__.html
  8. Falcao wished him luck with the recovery. Several Costa Rican experts are suggesting he could be back for the World Cup. http://www.aldia.cr/futbol-costa-rica/legionarios/Bryan_oviedo-legionarios_0_288571179.html
  9. There's a photograph of Jagielka holding his ankle towards his leg. It's a bit gruesome, but without it Oviedo's career could have ended.
  10. He has fractured (broken) his tibia and fibula in his left leg. Everton say he will have an operation on Monday. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/01/25/oviedo-in-hospital Recovery time could be 12-16 weeks: http://www.physioroom.com/injuries/calf_and_shin/tibia_fibula_fracture_full.php Although apparently Ross Barkley had a similar injury and as we know it took him a long time to recover. 11. I'm surprise we haven't been linked with Holtby again.
  12. I don't expect that much from him, he wasn't really impressive at AFCON and Monaco are willing to loan him within 3 weeks of signing him without making an appearance, and have chosen to keep him despite the injury to Falcao. Although that could be down to Monaco trying to meet certain financial criteria for a UEFA license. I'm not saying he'll be awful, I suspect he may get an average of a goal every four games.

  16. If you want atmosphere, get a ticket in the Gwladys Street. If you want a clear view of the pitch with the backdrop of the Gwladys Street, go for the Park End. If you want the same view as it is on tv, Bullens Road, if you want a virtual top down view, the balcony. To buy tickets, use this website. http://eticketing.evertonfc.com/PagesPublic/Home/Home.aspx If you want to jump the queue slightly for a game (have the opportunity of buying a ticket three ays before it's released to general public), buy a 'ForEverton' membership.
  17. No, they changed their terms so that only business accounts can make payments through a website. I'm able to accept paypal payments with the email address admin@toffeetalk.com though.
  18. More to the point, why would we pay Premier League size transfer fee to a rival ?
  19. The "legal issues" reasoning is probably because someone or a business resides there. For what it's worth (next to nothing) Liverpool City Council tweeted yesterday that they are "still in talks with EFC discussing potential sites." and that "Talks [are] ongoing but we've not received a proposal about any individual site". One thing that stood out for me was the £25million increase in revenue and yet season ticket prices are being frozen or increased.

  21. £40m for a Chelsea squad player and we're expected to compete in the same league.
